  1. I thought as much. Any painting tips? Thanks.
  2. This paint job (Before I started removing it) was pretty bad looking. It was bumpy, too thick, and looked awful. So, I decided to splash on some thinner, and work at it. After seeing that this had done nearly nothing, (The paint on the plastic was pretty old, around a month) I decided to sand it. And now we are here: I'm debating on how I should go on from here. Keep working on it, or just paint over it? Removing just this bit took a while. Hopefully know how to paint better, and fix this. Thanks! Side note: I haven't been on the forums for a long, long time. Been very busy for a while, and its great to be back. Thanks again for reading.
  3. Looking great so far. Think it will look great once it gets finished! Just a small question, though, where did you get the screws/hardware? Been looking around, and I can't seem to find em. Either they are way too expensive, or the wrong thing. Thanks, I'm looking forward to watching this thread.
  4. Thank you! I will add those soon. Again, many thanks to you.

  6. Good luck to everyone. I always like these contests.
  7. That is a nice looking gun. Could you tell me where I could get myself one of these kits? I can't seem to find a sale's thread. Thanks!
  8. Anyone notice that you can see Luke's wound on his hand?
  9. Thank you very much. I will try to contact them.
  10. Hey, everyone. I know this may not be the right place, but I didn't really know where else to post. In a nutshell, when I signed up for an account, and signed in, there was no posts anywhere. Just this: I tried clicking around, but still found nothing. All the forums show up before I sign in, but when I do, it all goes away. Again, sorry for posting this on the FISD. I had no were else to put it.
  11. This is how I go. First, for a general cut, I score and snap. This is where you cut into the plastic, but not all the way through, then snap it off, with pliers. Then, I improve the rough cut with Lexan scissors. Then, use a Dremel (Or just a small sander, file, etc. It depends on the size of the cut) to smooth out the cut. Here's a grahpic: (I stole it from the instructions of an ANOVOS kit.)
  12. Hey, guys. I am in need of advice on making a mold. I have heard of using wood, but for many parts, that is extremely hard to do, with the uneven, organic parts of a build. I have tried clay, which was pretty hard, for me. So I was wondering, how do you guys make a master mold, cheaply? Thanks! (For those of you wondering, I am giving vacuum forming a go, to build, not just stormtrooper armor, but other costumes as well. I thought I should try it out.)
  13. I wonder how Jango Fett must feel!
  14. I have an idea. You could trade your abdomen plate for an AM one, which is near four times larger than the originals. If you have not glued it, you probably should extend the shoulder straps. (EDIT: I have measured my AM armor and it is 18" inches long. If you would like we could trade because my abdomen plate goes all the way up to my chest. But keep and eye out for further advice.)
  15. Are... are you sure this will get them to love me? I mean... this seems really dangerous... Don't worry Gary, here, have another...
  16. That was really great! Fantastic job, troopers!
  17. Darn... hard to decide! Good luck on the assignment.
