Hopefully this image will help, it shows the different widths and lengths for the cover strips.
1.5 cm wide for the forearms and biceps.
2cm wide for thighs and front of shins.
2.5cm wide for back of shins.
Good luck and welcome to the FISD.

Sniper knee attached, now onto trimming the shoulder straps, I need to remove the larger ridge from both ends.

The right shin was a real pain, the cover strip kept separating when closing the back. After a lot of extra glue and extra setting time it's all good up front, with the rear strip now also attached.
I've also trimmed and started the process to attach the sniper knee to the left shin. Front glued, sides tomorrow night.

Looking great so far! May I suggest updating the title or we can tag it with the type of trooper you are building? I almost thought this was an electronics build ;-)
All good now Paul, had to log in on a PC, couldn't update via the Tapatalk app. Hopefully the title now makes more sense. :)

WowHalloween rush it that time of year were I get pretty busy!
Lately most of my customers opt for the fully built ready to wear out of box, never built so many in a small time frame! I prefer to build 3-4 at same time which speeds up process.

I'd be interested in that tutorial if you find it. Have to build some brackets for my Shock Trooper.I used the brackets that came in the kit. I was thinking I would redo them and make my own later. I know I saw a great tutorial on how to make them from scratch but lost it.

I'd also suggest checking out and creating your own build tread. That way you can post progress shots and ask lots of questions.
