  1. I know that the reinforcing strips aren't necessary but it will make the joint a lot stronger and I won't have to worry about the glue failing....maybe it's OCD on my part but it just seems like the best way to do it
  2. Thanks guys I appreciate the help!
  3. Hello everyone, I've browsed this and a few other forums for a long time and I finally joined a few months ago and purchased my first armor kit! I have a pretty good idea what I'm doing from reading tons of other people's armor build threads. I've got 90% of the kit trimmed out, I started assembling some of the helmet and have the shoulder bells and biceps completely done. I am doing "cover strips on the inside first then on the outside for strength. So far everything is going really good but I think I may have made a dumb mistake on the first forearm piece I finished. The problem is that I have 2XL hands and fairly large forearms, I ended up having to trim mine less then it seems most people do which left me with larger areas for the cover strips to have to hide. After glueing the first one together I realized I could have just left the bottom seam on the forearm wider and done the top one smaller so the 15mm cover strips look better I know it's kind of hard to describe so here's a pic, please let me know if I am okay with the forearms like this or if I should do the other one different and order two new forearm pieces.
