  1. Cleaned up the vocoder paint, didn't take a before photo but here is half way through removing some of the Anovos paint: Here's after doing the other side and touching up the paint: Also re-did the right bicep han hook to get them to sit at the same height (not pictured).
  2. Paint is preferable, but if you use decals make sure to get those that replicate the hand-painted look.
  3. Made some discs to reinforce the inside of the helmet where the mic tips mount - boy is this some thin plastic, feels like a board game insert: Repainted the inside of the mic tips off-white to match the props: They were then given a clear coat of spray paint to seal them up. Afterwards I made another 'doohickey' for molding the mesh I received from Tony: Mic tip mesh was then installed (I put a bead of E6000 on the lips of the mic tips beforehand):
  4. Congrats. We'll probably be going for Centurion at the same time too, eh?
  5. No more overspray on the teeth. Eye return edges look better, too. Looksl ike the ear screws (at least the top two) are correct now as well. Glad to see Anovos are listening. Mic tips are still black on the inside though.
  6. I went with snaps (and velcro in a couple spots) because my return edges were pretty flimsy and I didn't want to deal with all the extra shimming/reinforcing that would've entailed. Being able to break down my kit if anything ever happens is a nice bonus though - although with a screwdriver the same can be said for the bracket system.
  7. I would suggest trimming the coverstrips on your thighs so they don't go past the seams, they're more likely to poke and pinch the way they are now.
  8. Looks like almost everything is trimmed already, that's probably the most time consuming part. You'll be up and running in no time.
  9. Pretty sure the rest of the armor isn't though!
  10. Congratulations trooper! Hope to see you going for EIB/Centurion in the future!
  11. Most people on here seem to prefer nomex flight gloves like these, plenty of styles on Amazon/eBay. Don't have a pair myself so can't comment on fit/comfort.
  12. I would imagine if you lightly sanded the interior first it would hold even better.
  13. Clever, report back on how it holds up.
  14. Last 3 images on first post (but oddly enough, they now load). Nevermind I suppose.
