  1. I'm not looking forward to (probably) having to paint my FOTK kit, but you make it look easy Taylor.
  2. I assume you are talking about TKBoots? Newest runs are closer to true size. I bought a 9E (wide feet) and they're a perfect fit. I'd email them just to make sure, they're pretty helpful.
  3. Even if she doesn't, go for it. (I'm already in trouble for this one! )
  4. Great idea, as it promotes blaster accuracy - and that is what these programs are about. My only concern would be costs/local laws which may prevent people from participating in the highest levels of accuracy. Not sure of the interplay with CRLs, I would imagine this would be a seperate thing. Either way, I think modded Hasbro's and park blasters should be disqualified from the get-go - there is a reason they aren't allowed at Level 3. Base level here should be something like a Doopy's kit or Hyperfirm IMO. I would also highly suggest coordinating this with Spec Ops/MEPD/etc. as there are other detachment CRLs that use E-11s/DLT-19's and it would be nice to have some consistency in this regard.
  5. We've all been there... armor building in a nutshell! Velcro will work for all levels of approval, but I'm sure you'll figure out your calf closure/coverstrip issues.
  6. Looks like you're already off to a good start. Be sure to keep posting pictures, we are here to help/make suggestions.
  7. Yep, see my sig for my personal motto (stolen from Mick Jagger, I believe). Iā€™ve been considering an ANH Hero build myself!
  8. Really cool of them to give you some links for free! Looks like you have been doing your research, I suggest buying twice as many snaps and magnets as you think youā€™ll need. Good luck with the build!
  9. You can add attachments through the forum, but there are size/quality caps (otherwise hosting costs would probably be quite a bit more $), so external image hosting is the way to go.
  10. Congrats again! Going for Glenā€™s record?
  11. Centurion application is in... so I guess now the focus is going to be on electronics. Fans are going to be a must, so I suppose the question is if I go "all in" and get hearing and audio as well. Thoughts? Anyone doing all three, do you run them off a single power supply or have it split up? Seems to be a lot of very good options out there.
  12. Yep, a little more effort is worth it to have a nicer end result. We are here to help as well.
  13. Keep in mind those pieces are some kind of flexible urethane in the film, that much return edge on a stiffer plastic like ABS might not be feasible.

  15. The fact you did all that without a mill or lathe is insane. Great job.
  16. Honestly, I just eyeballed it. My hooks (pre-bend) were ~1cm x 4cm, bent the top cm or so and then glued roughly in the middle of the inside of the bicep and that worked pretty well. If you are going for 100% screen accuracy best to ask the experts.
  17. Now the fun begins, enjoy your build. EIB and Centurion should be easy with that kit if done properly.
  18. You have no shortage of volunteers if/when you choose to update the models. I do agree it'd be nice though, it always drives me nuts seeing rivets on the sniper plate on the ANH CRL.
  19. ESB (for higher accuracy levels) requires decals on the helmet, so it's probably easier to source them.
  20. You can always shift gears and make it an ESB trooper, easier to do decals that way.
