  1. Thanks for stepping up Chris, good luck.
  2. As much as we all love saving money, sadly I think if you want good results you just have to “cry once buy once” and have it professionally painted like @ukswrath did.
  3. Congrats @Nairy! Very cool! Agree, a calendar could be great!
  4. On one hand, what a noticeable jump in accuracy… but pretty impressive how close people got with nothing more than VHS/DVD and magazine stills!
  5. Adding electronics to blasters would definitely be a bottom of the list thing for me, most of our troops don’t even allow weapons.
  6. If you need a holster, I have an extra one just rotting away in my garage you can have.
  7. Same here! We could always use the help, I’m sure. If you aren’t already in contact with our CO (Clay A.) I’d reach out and express interest!
  8. Welcome (back) Gari! I’m also based in Las Vegas, approved L3, happy to help answer any questions!
  9. Assume LEDs in lenses would be an option? I don’t see any reason to have it as a separate CRL. Likewise, Enoch has enough overlap with the night troopers that I wonder if that should also fall under FISD, e.g. Phasma.
  10. Glad to see you back in action, brother.
  11. Just buy stainless rivets. Not much more expensive.
  12. Trimmed vs. Untrimmed: Untrimmed is, obviously, more labor cutting but you’ll have tons of extra plastic for patches, strips, ABS paste etc. and if going for EIB or Centurion you will have way more freedom to build to accuracy vs. someone else cutting your armor how they think it should be.
  13. I got to hold the kestrel, super glad to have been wearing biker gloves! (Cue the kestrel run jokes!)
  14. Finally, FISD’s turn for a sit-capable CRL.
  15. Same. Saw the news on FB earlier and still processing. Dan and I built our kits, got approval, EIB and Centurion around the same times so we struck up a friendship over common bonds quickly. He went on to be the Stripes police and an outstanding example of a Legion member, armourer, attaché and FISD staff - and husband, friend, and father - and our little corner of the internet has a CableGuy shaped hole in it. Buckets off Dan.
  16. Elastic on the straps - clever! May try this when I revisit strapping on my kit.
  17. What sorcery is this? If I tried to sit like that last photo I’d cut my legs to bits.
