one deployment later, here is a bit of a update on everything!
So yes Jimi sent a new bucket and its rad!
Everything has has been primed.
I have also did a good majority of the sanding that I need to do, (Not really we all know the sanding never stops) and started the fitting processes
As you can see my slim build leaves alot of overlap on the belts and the ab barrel
I have also picked up ukwraths harness
I've marked up the ab barrel to indicate where the breast and back plates will sit, with the connector as well. to determine where I need to trim.
I've also cut down the back a wee bit.
Last but not least I have done a bit of practice sanding/ painting on a few smaller things. these will def be re-sanded and painted. i also filled the back piece and the drop boxes with sign material
Still lot to do but at least its some progress.
Oh I almost forgot I did some practice carving on the first bucket so I go that going for me. lol

Good evening troopers. This has been a project I had been working on for a hot min. So much so I worked on it until about an hour before I deployed. Fast forward 7 months and I'm back and I'm ready to pick up where I left of. The pictures are a bit of everything up until the morning I left. From what I can tell. I still need my TD, weather my belt, lift/trim my left thigh so the sniper plate don't get caught under it. Oh and a blaster, trying to get a hyperfrim DLT-19 or a T-21. If any body as any leads on them let me know. This was my 2nd Anovos kit that I sorta frankensteined into the shocker. You can see evidence of my ROTK that also in the works.
I had a really bad hair day the day I decided to do my first test fit.
I still need to dirty up the deep crevasses

Good afternoon everybody! Last Tuesday was my BBB Day!
So first things first I did an inspection of all the goods and unfortunately the bucket didn't make it so well.
so after talking to Jimi, gonna get another one sent this way. I continued on to washing all of the armor.
After drying I stowed everything.
Thought this would be a good time to test the undersuit.
I feel slightly exposed.
Had to do some work stuff the last few days.
But today Is started to work with the armor proper.
and I'm currently plastidipping the inside. to coat the extra fiberglass fibers.
I think that's all for now! Can't wait do get this bad boy done!
Edit: Fixed pictures.

Hey everyone! I'm going to be converting my old Anovos ANH TK into a ROTJ, then eventual, into a Shock Trooper. I know there are some base stuff to do, like blacken the frown, get bubble lens, etc. Right now the biggest thing I am struggling with is getting the gasket trim. Does anybody know a good source for it?
Thanks!

Like I said, it's super subtle. I don't have a drawing program, but look at the left eye (your view) on the bottom. See how it curves down, instead of swoops down like the right? That's a recreation of the bump seen on the OTTTK's. You can see how it's fatter than the right eye if you look at the shaded portion.
I do see it on the OTTKs, but still not seeing on the R1's. It would not make much sense if the made everything symmetrical again, and didn't adjust that. However it depends on how they sculpted the buckets if that is still there.

In the visual guide to R1 there is a few good images that show how the thighs are connected. From the outward most belt boxes there appears to be adjustable straps that run down the legs.

I keep on seeing this thing about a bump under the right eye, but I have yet to actually see this bump. I've gone through as many image as I can and all I see is the natural shape of the bucket coming from the tears, and that's on classic TK's

Hey Y'all professional lurker here, I have a real quick question about cover strips. Mostly how can a get some. I live in Key West and as you know Irma came through recently, and believe it or not the only thing i lost was some cover strips for the Anovos kit. Just looking to replace them and so I can finish this 2nd build I have sitting around. Thanks in advance!

I am anxious as well for the kit. I don't care what others may think, or how blasphemous it may sound, but I prefer the "idealized" look if the R1 TKs. This is how I remember them from the OT.
I too think the R1 TK's look best. and its because they are just that, "idealized". It is how you remember it, or at least think it would look, and has the maneuverability that the OT don't.

Hey, I'm working on my 2nd Anovos Kit, and I'm almost done. Just got to finish the thighs and shins. When i finished my first Anovos TK, soon to be TD, I was never satisfied with the back coverstrips, mostly by the way they set. Ive looked through Tony's build thread and i see does some stuff with the back, but I am still not sure exactly what he does. Or if someone knows a better way to make the back look nice a neat. Thanks for all the help.
I actually like the way this one looks.
Its mostly this leg that i have issues with.
and these are the 2 new ones
