  1. Are you using the three-layer belt or just the rubber material?
  2. You might be able to salvage and use the damage to your advantage and install a working light. I drilled out my PLA 3D print and have installed a $1 Lantern Light that fits well and twists on/off.
  3. Those striations! What a shame. I'm working on my own F-11D 3D print and getting rid of those lines takes some time, even with XTC.
  4. Hey Josh ... Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about the belt. Happy to share more info, pics and trooper feedback.
  5. Aussie troopers represent! [emoji106]
  6. Pic sent via email. All the best!
  7. How cool is this! Marine Matthew Callahan served in Operation: Enduring Freedom, and now he's processing his experience with a new creative outlet. He recreates the actual experiences he accrued during the war as both a soldier and eventually a combat correspondent, using Star Wars toys to make artful photographs. Here's a behind the scenes video: https://vimeo.com/164726039 Enjoy! JAFO
  8. Like. Like. Like. Here's to following in your troopsteps very soon [emoji16]
  9. Great work! Really coming along.
  10. Are you happy to receive a message from a trooper in the making (i.e. No full kit yet) I'd make sure it was suitably cool [emoji16]
  11. I first used JAFO as my CB handle when I was a teen. Its origins are in the military but I discovered it watching 'Blue Thunder'. Its meaning (Just Another F****ing Observer) is a perfect fit for forums, though I try to be more of a participant than an observer.
  12. As you know, there is a supplier - FNArmor - but there is a lot of discussion about that vendor at the moment. Who knows how it will turn out. Other than that I haven't seen much else reported. There appear to be some local providers but that will require some digging. I supply FO Belt Kits and most purchasers so far have Jim's kit, which seems to suggest there's not much else out there.
  13. If you're looking for TFA FO parts there's a comprehensive list of providers here: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/34166-first-order-stormtrooper-resource-guide/
  14. One thing is for sure, the belt in the seller's pic isn't accurate!
  15. Not sure why that would be. You can find lots of info about this armour on FISD. Look up Jimmiroquai on the forum threads.
  16. Great innovation! I love creative workaround solutions. Nice work.
  17. Here's a great starting place for all things FO: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/34166-first-order-stormtrooper-resource-guide/ You can find lots of threads on Jimm's kit - it's getting lots of props! Best of luck with your FO journey!
  18. Have followed the same route with my FOTK Bucket. The cylinder power banks fit snugly inside and they're lighter than the AA battery packs.
  19. About £6 would buy you 5v fans and two 4xAA battery packs with on/off switch on eBay. Easy to wire together and effective enough for airflow. I did this in my bucket and I'm happy with the results. BUT...I am about to do a mod using power banks - not because I need to but because I'm intrigued!
