  1. Hey guys, I’m still alive!  I went on major hiatus, but I’m back and pushing at getting my armor done.  Anyway, here’s my next trouble spot.  I’m not sure what side the lower legs are supposed to be on.  I took a picture of what I think it’s supposed to look like, and this pic would be as if you were looking directly at the trooper’s legs from the front.  Does the “curvy part” of the lower leg belong on the inside?  It seems like it should to me.  Also, although it’s difficult to see in the pic, each upper left is higher than the upper right.  This seems lopsided, but I really can’t see the legs looking correct any other way.

The AM 2.0 biceps are a bit of a pain, I still am not a huge fan of how mine fit. But did a lot of hot water bath attempts to make them more rounded and less U shaped.

I'm so glad you mentioned that, it's exactly what I was experiencing.  I was even questioning what direction the bicep pieces were supposed to turn.  They absolutely do not fit well with the "curvy part" turned in toward your side, and the glued on strip facing forward.  Did you do the shaping of the pieces after trimming, or before?

  3. I got the notification in my inbox to this thread, and thought, "Gee, what a clever title."  Turns out, I wrote that.  I guess I think I'm pretty clever..  ;)

Anywhoo, I decided to go with ANH Stunt. Can't say that I can tell you what the difference is, but I do know that what I picked is pretty common.  I also went with it due to it's status as being the first common armor seen in the movies.  It's currently under construction.

  4. Hey everyone!  I'm super stoked about starting my very own build thread.  Along with that, I'm going to document my experiences in a new YouTube channel called "That Stormtrooper."  Right now I'm just a freaked out beginner, sort of like everyone seems to start, and I'm joining two hobbies in one, YouTube and Star Wars costuming.  Hope you enjoy it and subscribe.

  5. At the risk of not going with what's actually voted on (I do have a favorite) I'd really appreciate it if you gave your input on what my channel will be called.  I want something that rolls off the tongue as I'll say something like "welcome to X" so I'll refer it it a lot.  Thanks to those who gave input on my other thread, those suggestions played into the creative process in coming up with these finalists.

Anyway, thanks in advance for your thoughts and for voting in the poll!

  6. I have a YouTube channel. Its name is the same name I have on this forum. That's proof enough that you can choose whatever name you want, and people will still watch your videos.

Nice channel.  I agree, pretty much anything would work.  I'm looking for something that will be easy to remember, rolls off the tongue, yet still reflects what the channel is about.  I like the suggestions I've seen.  It's gotten me thinking.
