Mario and Joseph already chimed in with some great sources!
One thing to remember; AVOID EBAY! if it feels like a deal or a steal, it's probably a ripoff in disguise! Etsy can also be very hit or miss!
Also, buying completed kits from other members can be problematic; to be approved it will need to fit *you* properly, and adjusting a built costume can sometimes be very tough!
Just buyer beware

Looks great so far! It's hard to tell the fit from "selfie pose" in the mirror though; when you have your undersuit and all together, I'd suggest trying to get someone else to snap some pics, or setting up a tripod
Awesome to see another commander!

The original helmets had gaps you could drive a truck through, you're probably fine with those as is

Great work so far! Just take it slow, be precise, and don't sweat it too much Once you get over the nerves of the first dozen cuts or so it starts being like a second nature!
That E-11 print looks really cool; where'd you get the model?

Peter, you're going great so far! The advice that Jay posted are all the major things that jump out to me. That chest overlap on the ab plate and the ab plate buttons being so large stand out to me.
Keep up the good work, you're almost there and will be trooping in no time!

Welcome to FISD! A lot of garrisons will invite cross-garrison members to their events. I'd recommend signing up on the forums of all garrisons in your area and keeping an eye out; let them know you're in the area frequently

Welcome to FISD!
I personally love my RomFX after trying a few different setups. It works great with a throat mic in mono to give that radio sounding voice.

Welcome! Looking awesome so far! Be sure to set up a build thread to share your progress

Very cool! Thanks for sharing

dye stains are a monster to get out. Almost worth re-staining it with white dye to combat.
High grit sandpaper and patience of a saint unfortunately is how I got the one off my shoulders.

Looks marvelous!
My only feedback note is the eyes look symmetrical on the model. If you're going for an original trilogy look the left eye should have a slight bump to it
cant wait to see the molds become a reality!

Most images cut and added. The transcribed text had a lot of movie costume specifics cut since it's irrelevant to a game character.
I need a picture of the things with adjusted cover strip, and the a few bullet points for the weathering page, and we should be ready to greenlight. LMO office is looking it over too.
Please take a look for any glaring issues.

Happy birthday FISD even if this section doesn't get used, this thread is a good reminder of all the hard work and dedication by so many folks through the years.

Having a hard time choosing between ATA or RS, not sure if the extra $300 is worth the plunge, aren't the kits similar when finished?
Both are pretty awesome. The RS has some extra details and is very crisp, so if you're a perfectionist in accuracy it may be worth the extra $300. I've seen both up close and either will serve you well.

RS does a PVC kit. It's very very very bright white from my recollection. I am not sure I've ever seen it outside of photos though.
