Hi Tim!
Yes, I do have a Facebook account, but haven't gotten in touch with the Star Garrison's Imperial Academy page yet (I did contact Star Garrison through their website yesterday but haven't head back). I'll find the group and request to join right away--unfortunately work may get in the way of working on the armor this weekend. Thanks for your help
Here is the link Brittany.

Welcome Fellow Texan! There are also lots of members in the Austin Area if you need to reach out to any for help.

If you are having trouble looking for your name, go to the first page. Press CTRL+A, then CTRL+F and a search bar will appear. You can type in your name and it will highlight your order

OK folks... This was supposed to be the last official day of the shirt run, but we have encountered a glitch. You may have received a notice from PayPal stating that the "Order could not be processed" or "not accepting Payments at this time", because I am waiting on some needed information that I have not received yet, so PayPal is not letting me accept any further orders. Those who have emailed or PM'd me prior to tonight at midnight will be taken care of as soon as I get the info. I need. I am asking that you try again tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon, when hopefully this will be sorted out. If you are still having a problem, please PM me afterwards. If your order has gone through, you are OK. I will be posting a list of all current orders on Thursday so you can check. Thanks...
Was there a list we were supposed to be verifying our orders on? I haven't seen it so just wondering if I missed it somewhere in the thread

I'm having a blast so far just reading everyone's posts and seeing everything out there. I'm making a few adjustments to by armor before my next troop though. need to re-glue to speaker holder in the chest plate, and install the environment hearing microphones and platic dip the inside of the helmet and I should be complete....for now.

Just received my TKID and approval email last night. Can't wait to get some more troops under my belt. I already have done 1 troop with the local 501st while my approval was pending and it was a blast!

I submitted these on Friday, so fingers crossed that they approve and get back to me

Here are my submission photos from my completed Anovos Kit. I did not have a lot of major trimming as my size is close to the original actors.(5'10", 145 pounds) I did replace the belt from the start as originally it was discussed that the belt might hinder acceptance into the 501st. About the only major trimming I did have to do, was trimming the back of the top of the thighs. They were riding up under the butt plate and did not look right.

Was going to order the assembled version from shawn but since money is a bit tight right now, ordered this instead and am going to try and wire it myself. If not at least its only $11 down the drain.

This is what I mean by the brackets. The elastic is supposed to all be the same length.
On the front (right side of this image) if the tall and short brackets are installed backwards it will push your chest up as the elastic will be under tension. The tall brackets should be on the chest piece and the short ones should be on the ab/cod. That way when they over lap, as they should, the elastic isn't under tension, unless you bend/turn as it's designed to do.
*Photo is not mine. I believe it's from the MR Nostripes installation directions online. (So I assume you already have this.)
Yeah this is exactly how I had them mounted, but for some reason it was still pulling the chest to high. I end up running a strap glued to the middle of the chest and the other end glued to the middle of the ab and can now adjust the chest up or down.

Im using the wire and elastic that I purchased from mr no stripes, all of the elastic I received were the same size

Im 5'10" and I think that i need some longer elastic for these straps, but for now nylon will do.

Cobalt .. Your chest is too high.
It seems like you either attached it too high on the shoulder strips or your back is pulling the strips too far down from behind thus pulling the chest piece up in your neck abd bucket.
Are the strips centered on your shoulders?
Shoulders are free floating. I haven't attached any strapping from the chest to the back. I just went ahead and got rid of the elastic and placed nylon strapping to I can pull the chest down.

Hey Aaron I took a look at your pictures. Have you tried to lengthen the chest to back strapping? This should allow the chest to settle down a bit. Though it's hard to tell with your jeans on but maybe you can bring the ab, back, kidney and butt plate down a bit also, if lengthening the straps doesn't help.
This pictures is before I have attached the chest to the back strapping. I tried with my undersuit and I have gotten the same results. I have decided to remove the elastic that came with the mr no stripes kit and put nylon strapping for now. Thanks for the help and the build thread as I am constantly referencing this.

Beaker....go back and edit your message...but look for the Image button in the tools...right under the smiley and just to the left. That'll bring up a box prompt to paste the Direct URL into and that will allow the pictures to show up on the thread.
As for your pictures...it looks like the chest plate is high up on your chest by itself, with the return edge jutting right up against your neck. That's going to make it hit your helmet. Can you slide it down some? Maybe strapping it to the Ab Plate using nylon instead of elastic....
Yeah I end up replacing the elastic with a nylon strap with a clip glued to the middle of the ab plate so I can adjust it. I tried to edit my comment but it said not allowed so I will try and re-post.
