1. Sanding stone. I had not thought of that... I'll try that today. Thanks Chris!
2. Yeah, I'm just going to do my best then use some green stuff to recreate the proper look.
3. Good idea Tino. I'll definitely do that. I hope I'll be able to work on it tonight.
4. Well it will sure be an adventure for all of us who jumped on the Anovos bandwagon.
5. First off I would like to thank all those who have shared their builds. They have given me the most wonderful guides to follow. I was really excited to find a brown box at my door. The DoopyDoos resin kit finally came. I have already acquired T-Jay's wonderful finishing kit, so I am ready to start! Here's all the parts (including T-Jay's kit) I would also like to show you the DD D-ring compared to the one in the finishing kit. A world of difference! First things first, a bath for all the parts to clean off release agent and other crap. Next I decided to trim off the excess resin on the small parts using a Dremel. I'd also highly recommend safety glasses and some sort of breathing protection as this resin dust is nasty to your lungs. Next came drilling out the holes on the barrel. Time to replace these"screws". I found that removing these screws was quite difficult for me... Not sure why, but they put up a fight. This is all I was able to do today, but I hope to get more done in the near future. Any tips are really appreciated as this is my first build.
6. This is from the new Battlefront along with these other new/slightly different troopers. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Jump_trooper http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Shadow_Trooper/Canon http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Imperial_shock_trooper/Canon
7. I'm also a fan of the weathering. Black ash and soot type of look.
8. I think it looks pretty dang good, but having that hose/tubing connected to the helmet would probably limit head movement. I also really like the shin guards as well.
9. Dang! This looks sweet! Especially the paint!
I will definitely be watching this build.
10. I say we wait to see what the armor really looks like when it starts showing up at people's doors. So far we are speculating, who knows exactly what it will look like? I am definitely interested in this though, as I want my armor to be the best it can be.
11. No kidding. Weather can be bothersome like that. Good luck to yah.
12. Looking so much better than mine!
13. This really is a scratch build! I will definitely be following your progress, really excited to see this come together. Keep it up!
14. So if you spent more time on this, it could possibly work.
15. I just quickly tried this out (please note I did it quickly) and this is what I came up with.
Here are some photos of it next to my hasbro. Also, I did the blaster years ago, I had no idea what I was doing, so it is by no means accurate, it's just there for size reference.
16. That's coming along well!
Just a suggestion, not exactly sure how it would look, but for the bayonet lug maybe try using a pen casing? And maybe building the base out of foam?
17. I know, I just had a laugh and had to post it.
18. Pretty cool idea! Be sure to keep us all updated!
19. All I know is that styrene is often more brittle than ABS. I personally would not go with that kit, just to be on the safe side. Hate to spend $350 for something that doesn't last long.
20. Haha! Yeah... Probably not. I'd rather not mess up the kit. Also, this kid can beat anybody. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1bWO_FlUXKI It only took him around 16 seconds!!
21. I also jumped on the Anovos bandwagon. If you haven't gotten boots already, I ordered my boots from Imperial Boots. Here is a thread where they were discussed quite heavily. I've seen that many people were happy with them and there is no back order like TK Boots. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/29164-imperial-boots/?hl=%20imperial%20%20boots and here is the link to their shop http://www.imperialboots.com/product/421/ I hope this helps!
22. This looks great! I will definitely be following your progress. Keep up the good work!
