  2. I figured since we are the Bad A**es of the Stormtroopers i might as well act like it. TK/HWT 10204 501st Imperial Attaché Carolina Garrison
  3. I updated everything. Have a good weekend. Thank you.
  4. Updated photo with all of the above listed improvements completed.
  5. Today I was able to get some more done on this beast. I am not going to bore you with all of the steps, just show you some of the milestone photos. I cut the black 0.25" thick PVC sheets into 6"x12" and chamfered the edges. This is where my table sander comes in really handy. Next I placed the 2 air tanks (we will call them - they are actually floor cleaning bottles) on the sheet. I used painters tape as kind of a guide so I could figure out the best way to cut this. Ignore the other pack build in the background. I used my router to cut out the 2 squares for the bottles to fit thru. (A little rough looking, I know. But I will clean it up later) I then place the bottles into the Fin. This is the first of 8-10 fins that the bottles will go thru. It appears my test worked pretty well. The next ones should not be as difficult for me to figure out. Next Step: Cut all Fins to proper shapes. Insert tanks thru Fins. Paint Gray. I have to get a respirator before I make more cuts of this plastic.
  6. Submitted for HWT EIB. Fingers crossed.

  7. I finally have some time to work on this over the weekend. Some of the supplies I have recently acquired are below. I should be able to make the fins, insert the 2 larger bottles. I got Styrofoam for the top cover, so I can shape it. This will have to do until I can come up with something more permanent. I do not have the ability to form anything out of plastic.
  8. Sweet.

  10. My end caps are open, but I do not think it matters. For my cones, I actually found a good source at Hobby Lobby. They are made out of a very thick cardboard and they hold up great.
  11. I have a good source for the black sheets. I order them online from amazon. I just started using them and they are great. Plus they are a little thicker then the "For Sale" signs so it works perfectly for the bases and covers on the 3 boxes. I also used this material to frame out the radio.
  12. Ok. I have made all of the recommended changes to my armor. I redid the snaps on the left side of my ab to kidney connection so the gap is closed to about 1/4". I adjusted my belt snaps so the ammo belt is touching the bottom of both ab button plates. I weathered the pauldron. All pictures have been updated in the original thread. Thank you for your input.
  13. Thanks. I use black washable paint. All you have to do is brush it on your armor. Then take a damp cloth and pat off the part you do not want it on. Takes about 1 hour to do everything. The good thing is if you want to be shiny, you can wipe it off in about half an hour.
  14. Andrew, I will send new pictures. but aren't we allowed to have a 1\2" or less opening on the sides. For level two certification (if applicable): Any gap between the ab and kidney armor is no more than 1/2" (12.5mm) wide. Any shims used to achieve this effect are of a similar material and color as the ab and kidney armor. Shims fit flush and seams are allowed. 15. I seemed to be having snap issues yesterday. My belt also came unsnapped as well as my left side ab to kidney plate connection. Think i am going to need to replace these snaps. I will definitely weather my pauldron. TK/HWT 10204 501st Imperial Attaché Carolina Garrison

  20. I see Anovos is charging $600 just for the helmet. Why am i not surprised. I can only imagine how much the armor will be. TK/HWT 10204 501st Imperial Attaché Carolina Garrison

  22. Below is the link. Sorry for the delay in response, I did not see that you asked this question. It is just slightly bigger than the photo box. Just need to figure the best way to connect it. I am almost thinking 2 bolts driven through to the underside of the oil pan (backpack base) with nuts. The box does weigh a couple of pounds. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00006ICA8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  23. Would the connection at the mic tips differ from ANH Stunt to ROTJ?
