  1. Google “ABS Plastic Sheets”, and you’ll find something. I found one company (can’t remember the name) that sells it in different thicknesses. Or you can contact different armor makers to see if they have sheets you can buy. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. I emailed him a few weeks ago about aquiring armor. Like you, I am 6’2”. I haven’t heard from him yet. After reading this, I’ll just keep checking my email.
  3. I’m glad I read this. I am getting ready for my first troop, on September 9th. I’m getting Mynocks in my stomach thinking about it, but I am so stoked. I asked to be a handler because I’d like to see how Troops interact with the public, and get an idea of what that is like. I don’t have a blaster yet, but I was told that someone would most likely have a blaster I can borrow if I do decide to suit up. “Troopers Helping Troopers”! Thanks for this information.
  4. I have always dreamed of being a Stormtrooper since seeing Luke and Han infiltrate the Death Star in Episode IV. Now that dream has come true. It was quite a journey of sending emails, reading all kinds of information online, and eventually finding this forum. I consider myself a lucky TK, as I was able to acquire an Anovos Stormtrooper kit when they were first announced at Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim. I purchased it for a price of $350, a special price point they had it set at during that weekend. It came the week my first child was born so it had to sit for a bit while a adjusted to life with a newborn. I was invited to an Armor building party, a few months later and the fun began. Im going to keep this short because you may have already read many of the tips from the great folks on this forum. I would like to thank all those guys and gals that take so much time and effort to detail their builds, answer an email, or text, or in one case, have a nice conversation on the phone! I could not have gotten to the point I have without all the wonderful input from you! I look forward to helping out in whatever ways I can, like those of you helped me. Thanks for letting me be part of this wonderful family, and I look forward to serving the Empire for many years to come. Mark TK-42134
  5. Requesting access to the 501st, please. https://www.501st.com/members/displaymemberdetails.php?userID=28813 Thank you.
  6. On the helmet. I thought that it would be a fun project to fix it up and go for EIB. In some pictures you can really see that extra flashing. I feel pretty comfortable in trying to trim those now. This is my first build so I was nervous during the whole process.
  7. They were a little sharp and digging below my belt line. Perhaps I could've trimmed them a little differently. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Thank you so much for the input. I will try to make those adjustments. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  10. Well I submitted approval pictures today. We will see what happens. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Thanks for the recommendations Joseph. I forgot to put the Velcro in the bicep to attach to the shoulder Bell. I’m going to work on this today. I will make new elastic for the chest and backplate connections too. Once this is complete I’ll send a follow up picture. Thanks again for the advice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I forgot to attach the chest plate to the ab plate. I’ll do that tomorrow. I keep putting the belt in the wrong spot too. Only my second time suiting up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I attached shims last night and am looking forward to putting it together tonight. [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I was finally able to get into Ukwraths build thread and saw how the ab and kidney plates are riveted together on the left side. Thank you all for the pics and help. [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I am getting ready to finish assembling my TK. Can someone send me a pic of what the inside looks like after it is all connected. I was trying to look at pics from FISD, but I cannot get into anything at the moment. Thank you guys! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I can see all the topics but it won’t let me in once I click on something. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Thanks for the links. My weight may be an issue as well. I’m 238. I’m looking to drop some lbs in the coming weeks to help me close some of those gaps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I am 6ft 2in. It may be able to go a little higher. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Well, I suited up with my new under suit pieces. I have got a lot of work to do. I’m going to make straps that will hold my thighs up with a belt, my shoulder bells were not attached to straps so they are loose, my arms need some tweaking. And the abdomen and chest plate have the gap. I have been searching through the EIB applications, and found one guy that was close to my build, but he submitted for a Rogue One TK with RT-Mod Armor. I’ll do more homework. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Thank you for the tip. I will look into it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I have not. I’ve been using Ukwraths build as my references. Any suggestions for good ones? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I just ordered one off of Amazon. It will arrive today sometime. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. But we found a new obstacle. My kidney plate will not match up with the abdomen plate. We were going to shim the sides, but now they do not line up correctly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. We worked on it last night for four hours. I was able to acquire a sheet of ABS from a local armor builder, and we were thinking of ways to close the gap. We decided to split a 2 inch gap evenly between the three back pieces. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
