  1. I'd say no. It has to match the crl requirements. We have to have uniformity. But you could still use at non LFL events though.
  2. Try quartermaster or dirtyboy maybe they could help you out.
  3. You guys are gonna love it! Rob is a fantastic guy. I've trooped mine for a little over a year now and it's held up great. The wait doesn't seem that long, maybe I'll grab another for a commander.hmmm
  4. You can never go wrong with a BFG!
  5. Welcome to the FISD JJ! Good luck and post a lot of pictures. I'm nosey.
  6. DUDE! Put the knife down. Seriously though, your putting to much pressure on the knife.you score with several passes letting the tip of the blade do the work.I'm not a fan of this method. I used tin snips, way easier on the hands and no Wolverine claw marks! Hopefully you can polish those out with novus. Especially the one on your right thigh.good luck and take your time, it's not a race it's an adventure.
  7. That's funny, I used your drawings among others for reference when I built mine. Thank You for posting!
  8. Get that pack done! I love trooping with my HWT, you must miss it.
  9. Mine look like two small loops underneath. So small really unnoticeable. From what I've read about the screen used DLT's had two loops twisted together then tucked in the bottom holes to conceal. My guess since these blasters were whipped up quick and the wires were needed to help keep the tracks on.
  10. The one on the top isn't the right pack. I've told Eric that It's deceiving. The lower pack is the one I followed as did most others.
  11. Your gonna want to put a small notch in the T-track just behind where you beveled the edge. Make a small eyelet on one end and bend at 90 degrees and look wire around track and through eyelet and bend over and trim. Dab of super glue on each track will hold everything tight.
  12. The neck of those Bass boots are huge.that's the problem. TK or Imperial boots don't have that issue. Mine hug my ankle.
  13. I use the ones from home depot. There a little sweaty but the feel is perfect for timid little ones when they reach for your extended hand.
  14. Looking good! Did you figure out your T-track questions? Are you going to add the wires? I would recommend, it helps hold them in place and looks accurate. Keep up the good work! It's gonna feel good trooping with it.people love the BFG!
  15. The energy at a sporting event is awesome! Great job troopers.
  16. I missed the first run. So I'll keep my eye on this.
  17. Your build is coming out great.I think that hole does go through the sight. Not sure what Your using for a reload handle but can I suggest, I used a minimag flashlight tube cut down with a tubing cutter.mine is held on by a nut I glued inside and a bolt in a cut down drawer glide. It looks real when I run out of ammo and the reload sound goes off. I slide it back before the filled up sounds off. Blows the crowd away! One more element of realism. Can't wait to see you finish. I've followed it from the start.
  18. Nice! Looks like you had a busy year. I like the picture of you getting arested.it's always the poor stormtrooper.
  19. Hey Jayson, for me I like to clown around in my TK.People would think a TK is all serious and when you joke back they love it. Especially with the voice. After awhile it you'll have funny comebacks for all the short, droid and accuracy jokes.for pictures I like to say I blinked and when they ask for a selfie I say oh a stormie. If there taking a fellow members picture I'll come behind them and say focus, focus great shot! I know it's not our line but it works.don't judge me!lol. Either way your having fun and so are they.but when I'm with the boss it's all business. Unless his back is turned.
  20. Your doing a great job Richard! Your well on your way to trooping. Keep up the good work, I'll be following your thread. Love the cartoon breaks. Talent!
  21. Hey Jim, as a bigger trooper(waist, not height,6') RT was my choice. I can say his stuff is worth the wait. His armor just seems stronger then others, I've seen other brands and how they feel.I did my homework and was glad I chose Rob's.You might need to add shims on the ab's. It fit my 36" waist perfectly. Good luck with your build and welcome to FISD.
  22. I agree. I've seen Walt's boys in his armor in person. It looks awesome!
  23. The best advice is start with the easier original TK. Since you can get one within weeks by some vendors. Building this will give you better skills to attempt building the new TFA TK.
