Hi Jeff, If you take your time and know where to cut and why. You'll be fine, trust me. We all started where you are and know the feeling. Don't look at all the pcs. Focus on small projects that all come together in the end. It's less overwhelming that way. Looking foward to your build. And yes some cuts will need to use scissors or tin snips. Good question Alicia, there is no return edge on bottom of shin. That way it doesn't rub up against boot. Plus the bottom will be the end you trim if you need to shorten them. Which I'm guessing you will. For the top I'd stick with a 5-6mm edge.Good Luck Future Trooper!

This subject keeps making me view it from different angles. Being a HWT I wonder why we keep getting brought up in a R1 thread? Now this is my view and sorry in advance.<br> First off HWT is a TK variant. Nothing to do with a TD. Period. So no thought of going back to a place that pretty much had it handed to them and they closed the door. FISD takes it in and it grows up big and now MEPD wants it? Pass. Speaking of variant, isn't a TD just one of a TK? Same as a Commander or Magma? Why aren't we just absorbing them and calling it a day? For years they pigeonholed themselves and now realize they need to expand. They have an SE they could do. Yet nothing. How can they stay Mos Eisley and expand? That would be confusing to recruits for sure. I honestly keep coming back that it should all be under FISD. We're doing all this back and forth for a detachment of one costume. If they were brand new they would slide in the CRL list right between the HWT and the Commander. Right? Again my thoughts and wanted to get it out there.

You have the right idea with inside coverstrips but I have to agree with Marc. The ridge needs to close in closer to coverstrips. If you can't shrink down the size for fitment then a wider coverstrip would be needed. I recommend you wear your compression top for final sizing and not over a T-Shirt. For the scuffs, try Novus polish to clean them up.If you don't like them then replace. Keep up the good work! ATA is a nice set.

Looks good! To add to what Glen said. I'd add a pc. Of foam on backside of left thigh to keep edge behind sniper knee. Your shoulder bells could come in a little and try to keep them even between front and back. RS is a great set. Just have a look at your sew on bell snap. They always come loose and could use more stitches to help hold it on. If needed to move bells in I would just move them to solve problem. Besides that your looking good and will be Trooping before you know it! Be sure to give it a good test ride so you can get comfortable in it before your first troop.

The way Rob makes his with the ridge it looks better with coverstrip all the way up. IMHO. I know it isn't accurate but looks better then that. No offense Francois. I had the same issue.
