  1. I tried both ways, and was successful in pasting the URL to the Image Properties screen, but then it freezes. I tried both left and right clicking the OK and Cancel, and even clicked the X in the top right, but nothing. The only way out of the screen is to go back to the previous page, in which case the link is lost. It's times like this when I wish I had a 10 year old son/daughter who could teach me this stuff! As Charlie Brown would say, "AAAARRRGGGHHH".
  2. I read a post a while back on this, and one suggested a balaclava or hair net. Depending on how much hair you have, and how much padding you have in your bucket, there should be ample room.
  3. Thanks, Tim, will do!
  4. Hi! I have a really strange request, and not certain if this even possible, (or "allowed")... I am FAR from "tech savvy", and was not having any luck posting pics during my build. It was suggested that I set up a Photobucket account, (done), and post my photos there, (done). However, I will hopefully be submitting my EIB pics in the near future, and cannot for the life of me figure out how to get them from there to here. Not for a lack of trying, believe me! I read a tutorial here, but it may as well have been in Cantonese. Therefore, my strange request is that I was hoping perhaps I could get in touch with some patient soul via telephone who could spare 5 minutes to talk me through this. If so, please let me know, and many, many thanks!
  5. Hola! I have a HyTechToyz "Stormtrooper Electronic Digital Voice Changer", and would like to change out the "stick-on" mic that came with it to a headset style. It has the plugs that make that possible, but I have searched and cannot seen to find one. The headsets I have seen online are only available as a single unit, (earpiece and mic), and cannot be separated. If anyone knows of a source I would be most grateful. Many thanks!
  6. I read about this trooper's incredible journey, (15,000 KM, WOW), and would like to help out. I can't sign up for the main boards yet, (awaiting my Legion number), but is there a "Go Fund Me" or Paypal account I could contribute to? Thanks...
  7. Thank you, gentlemen, I appreciate the information! Now, fingers crossed.....
  8. Hola! I am currently waiting for my TK application/photos to be approved, and, barring any glitches, will be applying for HWT right after. I am assuming that I need to submit a separate application to the 501st, along with the photos to my GML. Is this correct? Any information/tips would be most appreciated. Thanks!!!!
  9. Incredible site, Tony! In looking at the DLT-19 section, I noticed that there were wires around the barrel, and that the rear stack was brown, (wood grain)? I have the exact weapon, (Sc-iFire) and would like to upgrade it if I can.
  10. Looks awesome! Your attention to detail is amazing.....
  11. Hi Rafe, I have a question.. Can I ask where you got the microphone from? I have a HyTechToyz Stormtrooper Voice Change kit, but am not too fond on the mic that came with it, (it has to be mounted inside). It is, however, attached with a plug, and can easily be replaced. I have looked online, but all I can seem to find is the complete headset. Thanks! (Good looking setup, by the way)!
  12. I see your point, now, Dan, thanks. I actually looked into RS, but with a 10 month wait, and a cost of over $2400.00,(fully assembled) it was a bit out of my budget. Besides, I had a blast (well, most of the time if you don't count the blood), and learned a LOT assembling my own armor, plus, I met a lot of great people to boot! Thanks to their help, and patience with my unending inane questions, I just sent in my 501st application and also the submission photos to my GML.
  13. Not quite sure I follow, Dan.. Why would someone want to "Get a costume without any involvement of the FISD"?
  14. Even though I used Testor's enamel on my ear screws and rivets, I also hit them with a few coats of clear nail polish for some extra durability.
  15. "Next on Jerry Springer, Rebellion teen hooligans gone amok". Thanks, Rick, I needed this laugh this morning!
  16. Congrats on your BBBday, Dave! From my own recent build, I can recommend a few things... First get, and then stay, organized! Nothing worse than trying to find a particular tool, rivet, or the cap from your E-6000. I also would suggest finding a piece of a carpet remnant (2x2 ft.) that you can set on your work surface. This helps keep stray ABS dust and pieces from getting on the floor when trimming, which can cause discord in a marriage. (Trust me on this one)! I would also highly suggest starting a build thread, so you can ask all of your questions in the same place. Lots of GREAT folks on here are ready, willing and able to give you all the answers you need, but as they say, "A picture is worth a thousand words ", and your replies will be more precise. Lastly, TAKE YOUR TIME... You will get frustrated and confused at times, and perhaps spill a little blood, but, when you try your completed armor on for the first time, you will know that this awesome journey will be one you will never forget! All the best!
  17. THANK YOU, Tim, for this comprehensive list! I am certain this will be an invaluable resource for those of us on our way to joining the ranks, and your timing is perfect! (I am putting in my TK/HWT application this weekend). I really hope this gets pinned, as it puts everything in a precise order and will be a great reference guide.
  18. Hi Justin! I just attached the hard lenses in my AM 2.0 bucket the other day. BUT... The green lenses that come with this kit are the bubble type, and are intended for the HERO style build. If you are going for Stunt, you will need to use the green film in the cardboard tube, as the CRLs state that the helmet must have flat lenses. I ended up purchasing some hard flat green ones, (usually about 20 bucks) online. If you do go Stunt, and order the others, I found a GREAT product at Lowe's ( in thepaint counter area) called SUGRU. It has the consistency of Play-Doh, but is a glue. I just rolled it up like a small snake, pressed it in around the inside eye and pressed the lenses on. It's holding like a champ! There are other methods available, but with the uneven return edges on these buckets it worked out really well. No muss, no fuss. Just check the outside of the eye opening to see if any squeezes through, (easily removable before it dries). It take 24 hours to dry, just like E-6000, but I found it really easy. Hope this helps!! P.S. If you decide to use the green film provided, there are lots of great helmet builds on here that explain the best ways to attach that, but you might need use 2 layers, as it is not that dark.
  19. The Hasbro conversion kit I ordered from them on ebay got here in 9 days, the full E-11 kit ordered directly through their site took 5 weeks. They would not respond to any inquiries,... BUT, the day after I contacted Paypal about the transaction taking over a month, and no tracking number, (required by Paypal), or communication, I suddenly got a response, and the kit shortly thereafter.
  20. Yes, I thought I had searched everywhere, Mathias, but looked every place except the right one!
  21. I honestly cannot fathom a Star Destroyer on the ground. Can you imagine the size of the landing gear on that thing?
  22. Well, the pieces of the puzzle are falling in place! Steve (Gazmosis) was kind enough to clarify my questions about the ejection port (check) and small disk (check). Now all I need is a source for the cocking/reload handle. I know I could make it out of PVC, but the one in his photo with the cross-hatch pattern just looks entirely too cool. Anyone have any ideas or sources? Thanks!!!
  23. Paul, if you (or anyone) are looking for the 2 basic parts in Tony's pack build, (Wedco oil pan and Pop-It containers) just let me know. For some reason, Amazon charged me twice when I ordered mine, (but did sent me 2 sets). I was going to return the second set, but haven't had the time. It cost me about $42.00 with shipping, but I will set someone up for $30.00 (including postage in the continental US) if it helps add another HWT to the ranks! PM me if interested, and I will get it out the next day via UPS.
  24. You came through again, Steve, (as usual)! Now, I just have to find a cocking/reload handle. Many thanks, sir!
