  1. There have been cases where there have to be a few mods made, Justin, but it is best to wait until you can put it on to see if in fact it needs any. Your best bet is once you can get everything on to take photos and post them here. At that point we can better help you.
  2. Looking SHARP Chris, and great job on that armor! A few small things that might help, though. You will need to paint the center split rivet on your ab at the kidney connection, and I would see about changing out the mesh in your hovi-mic tips before you submit for Centurion. Nice to see all those extra touches.. the new canvas belt, double snaps, and Velcro on the TD clips (wise move)! From a comfort standpoint, I would consider either removing the return edge from the tops of your thighs completely or at least trimming down and sanding the pointy connections at the seams (see photo below) in the front and back. On longer troops these can really be irritating, and possibly snag or tear your undersuit. Overall, a fantastic job, sir, and that blaster turned out awesome!
  3. You should be able to take a fine needle file and carefully file that down a bit, Richard. I would blue-tape off the surrounding area to prevent scratches and don't go too deep all at once as it may leave a pinhole. If needed, you can always fill in the hole with ABS paste made from the leftover scraps from your build. If you need help with that, just PM me.
  4. Looking sharp, Dave! You will have that Centurion badge in no time!
  5. I use a nylon fleece lined gun case I purchased online. I believe it is one commonly used for paint-ball guns, but my E-11 fits perfectly. It also has built in velcro straps to hold it in place.
  6. Like Jason mentioned, I am not aware of a patch with an actual DLT-19 on it. The EIB rockers sold out, but I have more on the way which should be here in a few weeks at most. Keep an eye on this thread for more info. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/39811-fisd-patches-eib-and-centurion-rockers-are-here/
  7. Winner has been posted here! : http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/40877-winner-fisd-c-8-t-shirt-design-contest/
  8. Alright Troopers, after much deliberation, we have a winner for the official FISD t-shirt for Celebration 8! On behalf of the Staff, I would like to congratulate Peter (Barcoder), TK 12175 from Alberta, Canada for his winning entry: LATE ENTRY: I was informed by Peter that our very own Aaron (Pyrates) TK 99725 also had a big hand in this design. (They will have to alternate days for wearing the free shirt) All the artwork submitted was simply outstanding (showing that we have some serious talent out there), and we thank each and every one of you for your great ideas! Although there is only one main winner, after seeing all these incredible designs we felt we should offer more than one of them to be available for purchase, (more swag is a good thing)! Therefore, a some of the other entries will be offered as t-shirts, a patch (or two), and perhaps even a poster. There are even ideas about other items, but those will be determined at a later date. Once things are up and running, the t-shirts will be offered using the "on-demand" process. This way you can choose your shirt color, size, quantity etc and have it shipped to you directly from the manufacturer. More information will be provided in the sales thread (coming soon). Again, a big THANK YOU to all those who participated, and we are looking forward to seeing hundreds of Troopers rocking these at C-8!
  9. Some photos and a LOT more information would be nice.
  10. I think it is important to keep all the build threads as each person posting one has different issues which can be helpful to someone. Also, each armor maker has their own little nuances. I did find it confusing looking for the ones that were specific to my particular kit at first, so perhaps we can put them in different categories, i.e. AM 2.0, Anovos, TM, etc.
  11. As the saying goes, Ade, a picture is worth a thousand words. We would be more than happy to help you out, and posting a pic would really help. If you need help with that, just PM me.
  12. Welcome to the rank of EIB, Jen! Just a few small tweaks and you will be ready for Centurion!
  13. Kits like what, Aiden? I assume you mean Heavy Weapons Trooper, which is made up of ANH Stunt armor, a backpack, and various accessories. The armor kits that can get you 501st approval can be found here, http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/11538-the-various-types-of-armor-and-where-to-find-them/ (steer clear of eBay armor or the like). The packs and armor are based specifications found in the CRL (Costume Reference Library) http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TK_hwt Most folks make their own packs, but you can find ones that are pre-made here: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/39107-hwt-backpacks-for-sale/
  14. Wow, Aaron!! Outstanding job, brother. I think you have this one nailed!
  15. Spot-on, Josh! Not too much, not too little. If you use a helmet bag, (especially the fleece lined type) and plan on trooping occasionally as a regular TK, be sure to put your bucket in a plastic bag first, as some of the black will rub off. GREAT job!
  16. SUPER nice job on this build, Thomas, and those ear to bucket and ab/kidney connections are outstanding! You should have that EIB badge under your name in no time, Trooper, and that E-11 is a work of art!
  17. Sometimes it takes a day or so before the DOs get to your submission, Conner, but rest assured, they will! You have a great looking set of RS there, and should be good to go for the most part. The one thing that jumps out to me is the alignment of your left ab/kidney connection. The rivets line up well, but the tops don't. (photo 1) This may have to be rectified, but it is a pretty easy fix. Here is a photo of another RS build (photo 2) to give you a reference. You will also need to post up pics of your wrist openings as well as a side view of the S-trim on your bucket. Almost there, Trooper! Photo 2 Photo 1
  18. Looking SHARP, Trooper! After all that hard work, it's time to get your armor submitted for EIB, and then Centurion!!
  19. Yeah, it depends on how much time you have to spare. Like Mark, I spent about 4-5 hours perfecting everything and completing it, (not counting paint drying time, of course). The important thing is to take your time and study the build threads. Like the old saying goes, measure twice, (or three or four times) cut once.
  20. Congrats on being the first in your Garrison to reach level 3, Chris! Now it's time to spread the love, brother. Have you considered joining the Imperial Attache program? The Alabama Garrison is in need of one, and if you are interested, just PM me for more info.
  21. I would like to add that the FISD t-shirt design contest http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/40339-celebration-2017-t-shirt-design-contest/is almost over, and that we have some truly outstanding entries! Some of our members took the time to come up with some awe-inspiring designs, and though there can only be one winner, we are considering offering some of the other designs for patches, decals, posters, etc. More on that as things progress. Don't forget that we have another contest for those who want to win a cool jacket. All you need to do is post a well written article and photos of a recent Troop in this thread: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/40791-yet-another-jacket-contest/?hl=%2Byet+%2Banother+%2Bjacket+%2Bcontest and your winning entry will be featured in the April NL.
