  1. Mine is rather easy....

I spent almost 25 years as an Artilleryman in the Royal Canadian Artillery, hence Gunner.  As we always say once a Gunner....always a Gunner!

The 27 was one of the call signs I had as the Battery Seageant-Major.  So Gunner27

My TKID is 71418, If you take the seventh, fouteenth and eighteenth letters of the alphabet you get GNR, which is the abbreviation for Gunner.

  2. I received my TK boots from Zhongvader / Imperial Boots last night.

They were very well packaged and each boot came in it's own little boot bag for added protection.

Full leather outer and leather lined, fit well and were comfy as I walked around the house.

Looks like we have a new boot supplier to the Empire!

No need to wait for TK Boots to sort themselves out anymore!

I am still building my TK, but will post another review after my build is complete and I have trooped in them, but so far so good!

  3. Alex,

I am the same height and 185-190, from what I've been told and read here, the AP should be perfect for us.

Mine is paid for and should be at my door in the next couple of weeks......can't wait.

Mark has been awesome to deal with.

I ordered my kit with the armour untrimmed but the trimmed helmet.

I will be starting my build thread as soon as I start building.

We have an mannequin/armour party this Saturday in Ottawa, I will go so I can get some tips and tricks from the more experienced builders...

  4. Welcome Alex,

I am a new recruit from Ottawa.  You are going to love it!!!

My armour is on the way and I got it from AP in Montreal as there is little or no wait time. Mark is awesome!!

Frame size has a lot to do with it.

Keep reading and I hope to see you at a troop one day, perhaps Montreal Comic Con next year!

  5. Hey Anthony,

I too am a noob and recruit here in Ottawa.  It's looking like I'm going with the AP (Authentic Props) armour out of Montreal.

From what I've read it depends on your size as well, if a larger trooper then they say go with the RT-Mod (Another Canadian Made)

Welcome to FISD and maybe our paths will cross at some point!!!

  6. Hey everyone,

Just joined the forum for the National Capital Garrison In Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

Going to be a handler for my first troop event this Sunday.... Chance to meet the Garrison and them to meet me.

Still doing the research and see what TK kit to get.

I am 5'11" and 190 lbs...Any advice on the best kit?

Not afraid to wait for it and save the funds required.

Not very good at building things, can do stuff around the house but have never done the fine detail work needed for the armour!

    Can't wait to get started!

    Shane
