Hey Vern.
Yeah, from what I've read I kinda guessed that the 3d printed helmet won't make the 501st cut, but I'm interested to see how it would turn out.
I've been in touch with RS Propmasters but I'm still thinking about building my own - always been a built not bought chap....
Might change my mind when it all goes wrong..... ha ha ha

Think I'll give it a go while I'm building a vacuum table.
I'll post my results here.

Hey Troopers,
Don't know why I've not signed up before.....
What a great place - lots of information.
I've finally decided to get my armour sorted - it's something I've wanted since I first watch ANH.
I much prefer built not bought - so with that in mind I'll (hopefully) be making as many parts myself.
I'd also like to hook up with other members in Scotland - I'll start tracking them down.
BYEEEE.

+1 on that.
Maybe my comments have been misconstrued. I wouldn't use the 3d printed helmet as a part of my armour, I never said I would. As far as I'm concerned I'm printing it as I bit of fun and for comparison.
No doubt there may be a point in time where a 3d printed armour will be of an accepted quality.
Please be assured that any armour or helmet I make will be scratch built and, obviously, I will document this.
