  1. Do you have any pictures? If you have to make the cover strips larger in the back make sure you do them for both legs to keep symmetry.
  2. As Daryl said, Try not to shim in the front as this should also cause you to have larger cover strips. Butt joint in the front if possible and make your shims in the rear. As far as this goes you will only see it on the left leg anyway. See which leg you need to do this to and if it is just the right leg then your ammo pack will cover it. Also check with your GML in your garrison to see what they say as far as your level 1 approval.
  3. Congrats on your arrival of the BBB. Good Luck!
  4. The straps will go on the top or front part of the elbow. I have never had mine bunch up on me. So if your standing looking at yourself with palms to the back you would see the straps on the front of your forearm towards the outside of your body. If that makes any sense.
  5. Frank, The AM 2.0 kit is great. I working on my 5th AM 2.0 build at this time for one of the guys in my garrison. Yes as everyone has said use the e6000 glue. Its great is you need to redo something. Here is a link http://www.michaels.com/e6000-craft-adhesive-2oz/10255145.html, Don't need to buy it there just this shows what kind to get. Keep posting pics on here with any questions you have. We will help as much as possible. Good Luck.
  6. Steven, Exactly as Christian said. I would just replace the elastic on the hinge side. You can try and reuse the split rivets that are there or if you need to get new ones just check with Joseph on here, He has them. Then just adjust the elastic on the opposite side to give you the same size gap. But as said earlier this will allow you basic approval but will have to close the gaps for EIB and Centurion. Good luck.
  7. Yes, the calves are on the wrong legs from the pictures and this will help a little with the sizing. Some guys do cut the back of the calves a little at the top. This will also help with walking and movement. I would not cut anything else from the calves though. Cut the top of your thighs if you need to at this point. For the sniper plate. If you have any room you can pad the front of the knee with something. This will help keep the sniper plate in front of your thigh also (this is what I did)
  8. Congrats. Now get out there and spread that love for STAR WARS, trooper!
  9. Welcome aboard, Yes check out the IOC site also go to your local garrison website: http://70thexplorers.com/board/viewforum.php?f=53 and register there. You should be able to contact local members through there to also help you. Good Luck!
  10. Sorry to hear about your Mom. Your build looks great so far. The helmet painting is very nice!!
  11. I have the rubber gloves with the flexible hand guards for certain troops and pictures. I then wear for most of the troops the nomex gloves with the plastic hand guards. The flexible ones I attached with glue and the plastic ones are attached with Velcro.
  12. I agree with Steve.. I'm a larger guy and have an AM2 armor. I'm very impressed with it and Have built 2 additional troopers in my garrison armor from the AM2 and we are all larger then a 34 inch waist, haha. Check with troopersupplies. I think he just did a run on armor and you can see when he is doing them again. Good luck.
  13. I agree with "Q". Move the thighs down a little with help with the appearance. I added foam to my sniper knee and it looks much better, it brought it out from under the things. I uses pieces of a "#1 finger and also uses pieces of flip flops. They are non porous and easy to clean and don't move or give much. Just glue or Velcro them in place.
  14. I'm building a kit for someone and the helmet does not have the screens for the mic tips. What is everyone using?
  15. Yes that is what most do. The biceps/shoulder bells were the only one that you fit first to see where they will sit before placing the snap plates.
  16. I used elastic strapping for all of mine. I just seems to work better for when your moving around. Check this out for the snap plate placement -
