  1. what makes them ROTJ helmet. I am familiar with the painting differences. What in the mold of the armor makes it ROTJ? The back side traps look very well defined on this one. I guess I had thought that ROTJ used the left over armor from ANH and ESB just painted differrent and reconditioned?

Could someone point out the differences in the raw armor helmet?

    Hey Derek,

The best place to get all that is the Costume Reference Library (CRL). When compared next to an ANH version the differences can be seen easier than they can be explained via keyboard on a forum. But really quick... the ROTJ domes are higher, the face "looks" a tad narrower when looking at it from the front, the ears are different profiles and no screws are used to fix them in place, the shape of the rear traps are a bit different, etc. To put it in a nutshell, it has an overall subtly different appearance from the ANH version

    Hope that helps

  2. Yup - this was done by a garrison mate of mine. It's his wife actually who is a 501st member and her girlfriend.

They did a great job and it was pretty funny :)

And yes - he has an *awesome* collection.

Paul... you be talkin' about Josh by any chance?

Those are beautiful and I think they were cast from the helmet that was on display with Propstore at ComicCon.

Correct me if I am wrong.

    Hey Joe,

I honestly couldn't tell you if they are or not, its just a bunch of extra buckets I got from TE that he had from a project he was doing, that's all I know as far as sluething out the "pedigree". :salute:

  4. What is the material? HIPS? How thick?

Is it 4 pieces (face + cap n back + ears) as separate pieces or all one piece (hard to see in the photos).

    Looks great!

    Hey Derek,

They are constructed in the movie-authentic manner... a 4-piece shell, the faceplate, a single piece cap & back, and the two seperate ear pieces.... constructed in .093 HIPs for maximum detail in the pulls and maximum strength.

You know you want one... GET SOME!!;)

    :salute:

EDTED: I stated that these were .060 HIPS, when they are .093 HIPs... got my wires crossed!!

  5. Hey Troops,

I know times are tough with the economy and all, but if you are interested, I have 15 ROTJ (made by TE) buckets available...

    NOTE TO EVERYONE -

These are accurate replicas of the ROTJ buckets, they are asyemetrical, and are not "idealized" in any way, shape or form... if you don't know what I'm talking about, please do your research and find out. Are non-speaker kits next?:D

    LOL... YES, YES, YES!!!

I needed to get a few of the speaker-versions moved first as they help me recoup some of my initial operating expenses (which aren't cheap) quicker. Fear not, I'll be casting up a heap of the housings this weekend and getting some of the non-speaker kits moving... PM's will be going out soon!! :salute:
