Congrats on getting your armor.
Read, read, read... measure twice, cut once.
My box is scheduled to arrive on Wednesday, keep an eye out for a new thread. Maybe we can bounce some ideas off each other.
Check out this build. Tim has done an awesome job with his strapping.

Garrison Carida has Squires to help out on troups (me for now) this is the video I shot today.
The benifit is I got to see three TKs one is an EIB, and also ask about an hours worth of questions when we were done.
No I don't have a quad copter to shoot. I use a gopro with a tripod mount on top of a monopod. I extend it out and can get shots from about 12'.
As I have been told....slow and steady wins the race. I look forward to seeing updated pictures. I applaud you for being able to do this build with a two year old, and your wife with a bun in the oven.
From the research I have done, NO. It is all about how it fits on you and the details on the outside. Inside the armor and bucket is up to you.
Take a look at the EIB and Centurian photos you will see both kinds of systems.
Measure twice cut once. Mark the screw and take out of helmet. Put nut on past the cut point. Cut off, then take nut off. If done correctly the nut will fix the threads at the end of the screw.
I bought a house in 1999, my four year old son was going to get his own room. We would go on the weekends to work on it before the moving day. Then camp out at night having Luke vs Darth battles with our light sabers running all over the big empty house.
If you have squires they should be ready to help out troopers that might be getting into trouble. I carry extra water bottles in a back pack for the just in case. Keep an eye out on the people around you, just because your ready doen't mean they are.
No one gets left behind
