  2. OX Props looks great, but he doesn't make the actual parts, which crookknight does.

So, unless someone is willing to print/build a pack from OX Props, the rest of us our SOL in that regard.

In the end though, it's great to see these getting some love. I remember the first space pack I bought that was very crude but worked, much like back 15 years ago as a sandtrooper we had to make our packs out of items we found in Good Will and Walmart, even making our own frames from PVC as there were no suppliers on anything.

I was curious how many of these awards are actually around out there, so for tracking (maybe add to the OP?), please find them below with approximate dates of award. So mine would be the 6th ever and first in 3 years... I'd love to see more and encourage others to put in the work and submit!

Agreed - we should probably do a eBlast on this alone. I knew of several folks who could have easily qualified but have not, and have probably forgotten about it.

  4. I have to say I was expecting only a pair of binocs, not an impeccably designed and executed carrying case.  My pictures are nowhere near as good as Adam's, so I'll let his stand on his own.   The craftsmanship is truly a reflection of this talent.  Fortune was kind in that they arrived on Friday and I trooped with them yesterday.  One of my garrison-mates should be sending me some photos that I'll post as soon as I get them from here.  They are paired to my phone, but it's a bit inconvenient to pull my phone out while in full TK.

I think I'll get a small, used smartphone (with no SIM) and put make some loops that I can store on it.  This way I can use it in costume and not worry about my real phone being lost/damaged.  Alternatively, I'm thinking I can have a spotter, officer, or crewman with an iPad do that for me.

In any event, they are absolutely a work of art.  Credit to @justjoseph63 as well for an amazing kit.

Adam, I can't thank you enough for your amazing work. You're the best!!

  5. OK, I can't find where I posted this before so sorry for the repeat.  This is what my left thigh looks like after a troop.  Two questions:

    1. What is the best way to get this off of my thigh and make it look normal again?

    2. Is there a good holster vendor who sells holsters that don't do this?  Cash in fist as I am unhappy with my current rig.
