  1. Being prepared is never ever a bad thing...:-).......
  2. They are indeed :-)
  3. Received mine today. Had to pay 45$ extra in VAT and import tax...but that was expected.. Great piece of kit, works like a dream, can hardly wait to install it in my helmet and armour......:-)
  4. Went by the Infantry R&D branch today, and asked if they had some leftover helmet pads, from tests etc. They had some from Revision Battleskin. I got my hands on two complete sets, which should be sufficient for at least three TK lids....so I am covered...:-) for when my helmet arrives. Just out of the bag Tried a quick installation in my MR helmet, and it feels great.....:-)
  5. I drilled out all the holes for authenticity, and attached a pin and some glue to hold it in place......Works fine I think
  6. Ron. I did almost exactly what Brent did, including using Angelus on the entire boot, including the elastic parts. You could however use fabric dye/paint for those parts, but I find that Angelus does the job well enough.
  7. Looking forward to follow this...looking nice so far...I like the detail with the bolt numbers!....
  8. I am sorry for the misinformation.....and hereby stand corrected!..
  9. There are no requirement for any trooper at any level to have a weapon ( due to all the different laws in different countries). But on the other hand, what is a trooper without his weapon? Can you imagine yourself being part of either program, and not have a blaster?) unless there are laws in you state/country that prohibit this). If you do have a blaster, then it will have to meet certain criteria....
  10. This is link to a review...I myself would be cautious.... ------------
  11. From what I hear CCC is not a place you want to do bussiness with...lots of bad publicity...but I have not done bussiness with them myself... The Doopydoos is an awesome kit, made one myself the last couple of weeks.....but there are also other alternatives....
  12. I sort of " cheated" and ordered a fully built suit from TM..:-). I have all the accessories either here, or in the mail, and I expect the armour to be finished sometime next week. So if all goes according to plan I will forward my " enlistment paperwork" before the end of September.....:-)...
  13. Good luck on it all:-).. And ask if you need help/inspiration....:-)
  14. Nice find!..now all you need is the Doopydoos kit:-)... They btw also carry a cool blaster stand in their inventory.Feel free to ask if the Doopydoos threads aren't sufficient:-)
  15. Good choice!..
  16. You are most welcome...glad to be of assistance:-)
  17. Actually I did not use the finisher at all:-).... I do not know how much difference it makes....
  18. Looks finished to me:-) Btw what size are you?
  19. I think they are a tad, but just a tad, too square compared to the original boots, but they are also rubbersoled, abit too low in the ankle, and too square in the cutoff at the top. I myself prefer boots closer to the originals. They do however not hinder a Centurion qualification.....As the boot criteria "only" are these:"White leather or leather-like, above ankle height, with a flat sole with a short heel, and small U-shaped elastic sections on both sides of the ankle with no buckles or laces. Jodhpur/Chelsea-type boots or an equivalent style is acceptable. Elvis or Mariachi boots are not allowed. There shall be no seam on the front of the boot (e.g. CABoots are not allowed). Boots shall be lightly scuffed."...
  20. Ahaa, an internal joke that I din't get...:-)....
  21. It is beginning to look great:-)
