Wait until Rogue One hits theaters. If they follow the continuity of Rebels, you will probably see pauldrons on live action TKs.
-
Does Batman carry a gun? (yes I know he did VERY early in his 'career') Does Indiana Jones wear a cowboy hat?
TK's dont wear Paudrons!

Even then, just do it. You can still take it of when you are requested by someone who has the right to give orders.
To be honest, here are the above average fanatic guys - most other people (even 501st) just don´t know or don´t care what is important for many here.
I wouldn't go that far. If it's a canon event, especially an LFL/Disney event, don't wear the pauldron. I don't think the people here are fanatical just because they strive for accuracy.

You can. The link for the files is on the 501st website. I'll see if I can find it later today. Both I think. I'm under the impression that you can have an audio file play from your iPod hooked up with the Voicebooster speaker at the same time with my voice

Also look up Robert (tkittell) here on FISD. His belts are on a lot of troopers out there.
All are good Aaron, but I can vouch personally for this one and its great.

Great idea!
Yes, I echo what has already been said - you have your volume up too high. Also, your amp will perform differently between simply hanging it around your neck while wearing street clothes versus being in full kit with it mounted under the chestplate - so you have to go with the latter when determining the correct volume setting.
Based on personal experience, I've found that having it roughly halfway between off and max volume is the sweet spot.
I know volume is the issue. I can't get even close to half volume. Its better than my muffles voice behind the helmet, but just not getting a good volume without feedback.
you just have your volume too high. Make the adjustment at home. When you get to a volume that is loud enough but doesn't feedback, mark this with a silver marker both on the dial and next to it so you can set it there the same every time
You know, I was going to do just that with my silver Sharpie but ran short on time. I'll mess with it this weekend.

Did not want to hijack the last thread about speakers in the chest plate, so I thought I'd start a new one here. I have an Aker 10W amp (1506 I think) and the headset that it comes with. I keep the amp under my chest armor and run the mic wire up under the neckseal and into the helmet. The amp works great, but I'm having issues with feedback, and that is restricting my ability to set the volume at a level I want. It happens as soon as I put the bucket on my head. Anyone else have problems with this?
I tested the system two nights ago after I had a problem at my last troop. When I hung the amp around my neck, put on the headset and then the bucket, things went fine. But when I fully suited up yesterday with the amp back under my chestplate, feedback again. Very frustrating.

And 2" black for the bicep to forearm connection.

No worries. If you are putting together something similar to what I have, you will have the same set up as many vet troopers and you will be fine. No issues here in 12 months of trooping with it.I've already bought all the parts necessary to build my own fan system

Must be new on the market because I had never heard of them before. The pictures they post show the mould masters are scratch built from pvc pipes and other bits, but look decent. Will probably not hold up against castings from actual MG's, when comparing details.
As usual, buyer beware.
They are new to doing this, having set up shop just a few months ago. I'll see if I can get them to post up here soon.

I can tell you that Chad and Joe are two great guys in our Garrison. This is a relatively new venture for them, but they seem to be doing some really nice work. I'll post up if I get the opportunity to take some first hand pictures. I was just chatting with them yesterday about a future project.

Does he take pics with the groups at each show, or is that hit or miss?
He pretty much does it at every show, if you stick around to do the VIP session after the concert. Basically, you decorate the VIP room while he meets fans, then he takes time to do pictures and sign autographs. Try to designate 1 picture taker for everyone. He all had him sign the inside of our buckets.

Another question has come up in this area and I am trying to properly advise someone. His legs are large, and he is going to have a gap that needs to be covered. This is unavoidable. Here are the questions that have been raised:
1. Should the gap be confined to the back of the thigh only, or can it be split between the front and back, or even in the front only? My thought was that it should be restricted to the back based upon past research.
2. Assume for a moment that the gap is only in the back, requiring a larger cover strip in the back. Should the front cover strip be kept at standard 20 mm, or should it be made to match the larger back strip? I need to discuss this issue witrh our GML.
Thanks in advance.

This is coming along nicely. Works well on my droid maxx with my Aker amp. Just need mic/amp splitter from amazon. Any chance you can boost the volume of the static burst? Too quiet compared to voice on my set up. Then again it could just be my set up. But this is really brilliant!

So far, one blowing across my face has been enough. The other is a backup. That being said, I have never done a long time outdoors in the Summer. But in hot rooms and limited trooping outside in summer its enough to cool you.

You only need to paint them if you want them white for a TK. As you said TX, you won't need to paint.
