  1. You really need to steer clear of that "Treckfreek" character. He is a NASTY piece of work. We have been asking him to remove his 501st reference in his ebay sales and he has one of the foulest mouthes you will ever hear. Reports from those that have been to his house suggest it is full of recast props, not just SW, and the floor is covered in dog crap.

  2. Just out of curiosity, are there any legitimate armor makers in Australia now? I only know of a few makers of resin parts for blasters and other props. The IP address this person posts from is definitely an Australian ISP's address.

There is only one legitimate armourer, goes by the handle of TPE. Sells very good quality helmets and is about to offer full TK kits. Very hard to get hold of.

ALL other helmets and armour produced here are recasts.

Here are the links of two female Stormtroopers that have achieved EIB status here on the FISD

There are more around here though.

I'm not sure of their height or weight. (men never feel comfortable asking that kind of info  ) You might wanna PM them and asked them about their armor build experiences.

I do know TK-7795, Gunners'N'Roses has the same kit as me which is ATA.

The lovely wife (7795) is 5'10" and 129 lbs. She is sporting an ATA kit with both arms being the smaller size/side.

So what kit would you guys suggest for a female 5'9", 150 lbs? I'm kinda curvy with wide shoulders and hips but smaller in the waist. I don't want to look like a girl, I want to look like a Stormtrooper :D Also ease of assembly is a factor since I'm kinda inept when it comes to all things mechanical.

If your suit is fitted properly, you will look like a TK. The only thing I tell my wife to do is "stand like you got a pair" :D

  4. The guy is a known recaster on other costuming sites. He couldn't even be bothered to remove the original makers initials from the item he recast. Not really surprising he doesn't bother to ship his items in timely fashion, or at all.

  5. Nope, no rivets. But I still use a clamshell type setup on mine, tho it's nearly impossible to see.Especially handy for those of us who are drought and famine resistant :D.

That's 4" wide black elastic on each side, glued onto the kidney plate and hidden snaps on the ab plate.

The belt is rivetted on permanantly at the front, and the holster is attached to the kidney with chicago screws, so the belt won't sag and it is also an anchor point fo rthe belt. Just a matter of closing the snaps on the left side and tightening the belt up to get an even gap - left to right.

  6. These NEED to be 501st approved. Even if only using a regular TK bucket instead of one of those.

Either way, I'd be GLAD to see this as 501st approved armor.

It's more along the lines of what I always envisioned a "sandtrooper" to be is a Stormtrooper Commando.

Not to mention very similar to what I had in mind for my costume.. markings and equipment wise.

Not sure they NEED to be 501st approved. There are already plenty of EU costumes approvable, and it seems the list continues to grow. Just start of with a standard TD and swap parts out for fun.

There's that weird guy in front of his roses again mum....

  7. Sorry Troy but.... hahahahahahahhahahahhaaha and monkeys might fly outta my butt! this is the man who offers "rewards" to anyone who finds original parts then keeps the info to himself and says he found the item on his own so he doesent have to pay up on whatever he offered.

I can assure you from personal experience, that he is not the only guy in the Star Wars prop community that doesn't make good on their bounty offers.

The MEPD guys will recognise the words "Sonix Victory 75"

  8. This material is great! I received two lengths of it today. Thanks for that, J! I compared it to the color of my armor and though it isn't a precise match, it's pretty close. I don't plan on doing anything to it. I'm going to use it as-is. The shiny side will definitely be worn on the inside, though.

This stuff is thick! Strength should not be a problem.

I'll get my brother in-law to carefully drill out the rivets holding my current belt to my trooper torso and we'll set up this new belt.

Glad you like it mate :D . I'm yet to put it on my kit, maybe this weekend.
