  1. Hi Andrew. It sure is very daunting at first and can feel that way for a while. The advice already given is a great path to start on. It took me 2 years to complete my armor back in 2012 because I was so afraid to make mistakes along the way. I was doing things month to month. Eventually I got tired of being so crazy to not make mistakes (so I could get trooping) and then things sped up form there. Also I had done so much reading & research on the FISD I was good to go. Take your time, ask lots of questions and don't give up. It's the journey that is rewarding as much as the finished armored is when you get to your first troop. Best of luck on your journey!

  2. From I recall the Pugman version is a rubber/resin cast of another E-11. So it is a full solid static prop. All the normal open cavity areas you would find on a sterling built E-11 like the front sight guard are filled in solid as it would be near impossible to make molds to capture that space/detail.

Pugman has lineage to ESB used props so that is the plus point for this blaster. RS obtained the molds from the movie so RS Pugman copies are basically the same identical prop background troopers used on set.

But for a display piece, if want to show more details, the regular E-11 blaster they offer might be better.

Here is a video Paul @RS Props did showing their  reguar E-11 & Bapty version.

    Hope this helps.

I just want to give this a little bump having recently ordered an M19 Scope from Brian @Bulldog44 back in August for another project.  The craftsmanship is excellent with each piece individually cast.  Brian packages the scope in custom package that makes for an excellent presentation.  A lot of thought, care, and detail clearly went into the development of this prop from start to finish.  He maintained great communication from start to finish, and threw in a few little extras when he shipped it out to me from Japan.  The cost is very reasonable, and much cheaper than options available from other vendors, All in all I am very pleased with this scope and the fact that you can add a blastfx scope display is a great feature.  I highly  recommend Bulldog Props if anyone is looking for an M19 or M38 scope.

Thank you Aradun for the awesome review and feedback. I am extremely happy to hear you are pleased with the service and quality of the scope kit. Thanks for ordering one! :duim:

I have an original vintage Northstar radio. Does anyone have any idea what it's worth. I will try and send a pic right now

I have  an original north star radio almost identical to the one shown.  Do have any idea w he at its worth?

Heres a picture of it... IMG_20221017_001822741.thumb.jpg.c3e6bdf2f985db0becac8d5ac89a8f05.jpgIMG_20221017_001758822.thumb.jpg.09e69e3e01a719c4c9e0e295a91b8b76.jpgIMG_20221017_001822741.thumb.jpg.c3e6bdf2f985db0becac8d5ac89a8f05.jpg

    Awesome!

Value is just what gmrhodes13 has said. Someone paid a lot for an original Sonix a while back and think that’s the one RS props uses now. It was well over $1,000 or way more but that was the first one anyone found at that point. There have been a few discovered so value is certainly what someone is willing to pay for it.

I am interested in it if you are selling. For me the value needs to be realistic in that I would be copying the radio to make kits. So top dollar is not something I could pay as the cost to make molds, etc. would need to be considered to make it even worth it. PM me if you are interested to sell it. :duim:

OK, so bear with me..  I am in the middle of constructing my new workshop (from the ground up) so that has taken a lot of my spare time.  Time to get back to it!

Taking a break from the shroud to work on a few bits and bobs.  I decided that I wanted to install real lenses in the scope, but I applied way too much pressure and broke it trying to take it apart.  Oops.

In theory I could have repaired it, but being as this would have taken a lot of extra time I decided to reach out to Bryan (Bulldog44) of the Japan Garrison for one of his phenomenal cast from original M-38 resin scope kits.  I have used these in the past, and the details are as accurate as you can possibly get!  Unfortunately he said he could not sell me one, but would be more than happy to donate one for the cause.  I got that in the mail last week, and all that needs to be done before painting is to remove the lenses (easy).  Screws will be added after painting.  THANK YOU for your generosity, Bryan.. you saved me a ton of work, brother.  This will make an awesome addition!

Wrapping removed, accurate screws/lenses included!                                Insanely easy detailed instructions.

Happy a help a great cause. Thanks for reaching out to me for a scope. Can’t wait to see this blaster finished in all its glory.

  6. The blaster cam out amazing. Top notch work!

I am currently copying an MGC part for part. A nice guy who owns one in Japan kindly disassembled his so I can make molds. Once I finally get it all molded and casted up I will be back here looking how to make or acquire all the add ons to make it an ROTJ blaster. Thank you for sharing all the information on this build.
