You don't have to have the loop as long as you only see elastic between the drop boxes and belt. Some cut a section out of the loop so it sits around the snap, just like the originals I cut a semi circle so it would clear the snap and then sealed the elastic with a soldering iron, you could also use glue
-
As long as it is not seen from the outside you can use anything you like, I just added a dab of glue to mine to keep the loop in place, but no issues with using velcro

Excellent, congratulations and welcome to the ranks , you can request higher forum access here You can also start a troop log once you get to an event or two, awards may be requested at specific levels, info here: Lastly a great read for the newly approved https://databank.501st.com/databank/TrooperSurvivalGuide Looking forward to seeing your trooping photos soon

TK-31022 Requesting ANH Stunt EIB Status (AM) 1088
gmrhodes13 replied to Riddick322's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Nice work trooper, appears you are missing an action photo, (pretty sure you had one in your folder previously) You may also want to check your detonator measurements, very little room between the end caps and control panel, end caps look a little wide, control panel usually stops in alignment with the screws, reference posted bellow You could also remove a little section of wire on your blaster, it is very bunched up. Recent Expert Infantry application #1087 References Please note these are just suggestions the DO's may or may not require the changes Good luck with your application trooper -
An issue with some boots is the height of the neck/ankle is a little low, you may find you will need to add some elastic or velcro to the front of the boot to the inside of the shin so the shin stays down, they do tend to move up and down when walking. Reference of screen used boot Looks like the one you posted should be ok, one issue I do see (and it's entirely up to your GML) is the lean on the elastic and the bottom seam. Would be entirely up to the @Deployment Officer Team in regards to higher level acceptance, doesn't hurt to ask your GML before you purchase, hopefully the DO's will also be along and comment

Hello and welcome, you can find local garrisons/squads here https://www.501st.com/maps/ Generally the trimming should be smooth, I find wrapping some sandpaper over a small block of wood or pipe helps give a nice smooth appearance. Here are some references of return edges Another great thread full of helpful links and some build info When in doubt you can also check out our reference gallery OTTK help videos: CableGuy (RIP) has a great youtube series https://www.youtube.com/@cableguydan/videos So does RS props https://www.youtube.com/@RSPropMastersTV/videos Posting a build thread here on the forum is a great way to get feedback on your build and help (not sure which TK version you are building) there are lots of members with great build threads to follow, once we know what version you are building we could post some for you.

There are a lot of options out there as I posted previously, everyone has their own choice, I've been trooping with my Icomm and Aker amp for 12 years and converted to an exterior battery and it has not missed a beat. There are now amps out there that also include MP3 players so you can have background sounds playing as well as talking. I also use the other plug on the amp to run to props, blaster, lazer axe, baton etc etc, all can be played at the same time.

Some makers of files supply a moulded eye plug, once printed and smooth you heat (heat gun or in oven) acrylic sheet and pull down over the plug, this gives you the curved shape. Some makers offer files for resin eyes already shaped to the mask. In the past I've even seen some even used spoons as the mold for pulling heated acrylic sheet over.

Looking forward to seeing your build thread soon Plenty of time to do some research, FYI aiming for L3 from the get go can be easier than converting down the road Lots of approved RS L2 and L3 approvals, just look for RS in the titles https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/19-request-expert-infantry-status/

FYI Icomm's can have issues with the internal battery, once flat it can no longer hold a charge, they tend to just click, replacing the battery or modifying it with an external battery may help.

Hovi mesh can also be painted black if you wish Correct Aerators/Hovi-MIX tips are present. Screens used shall be of a wide type mesh. The rim of the mic may be weathered, and the inside raised area painted white. Interior sides shall be painted black, mesh can also be painted black. References

A couple of ways to reduce bleeding is use a painters masking tape not just masking tape, also paint white first, any bleed areas then get full of white, then apply your blue

Stormtrooper Trash Crab - Possible Spoilers - Skeleton Crew EPVI Trash crabs were a hermit crab-like species of crabs that roamed the planet Lanupa where they scavenged and wore pieces of technological scrap. Trash crabs then were able to communicate, although very limited, with the technology they scavenged, which the human Wim believed was a sign they were sentient. One gigantic member of the species was Tet'niss. Trash crabs were similar to the scrap crabs of the Outer Rim planet Trionak. Did you spot the Stormtrooper helmet trash crab? Bryce Dallas Howard pictured with one of the helmets (although I've not spotted this one in the episode, yet) Love the shin and boot There are a lot of other Star Wars items used, a couple of jedi training remotes, some R unit heads, mouse droid shell, as well as a lot of other items, how many can you identify?

Nice work, you do appear to have a slight angle on the brow trim though, easily fixed by bringing the brow trim down a little
-
Unfortunately no continuity in the costumes or which timeline they fall into, definitely ROTK based though. This happened a lot with earlier games, model was base on ROTJ but some details were different.

That was an early render from a supplier, if you look at Hot Toys it appears to be gold From the CRL WIP: Hand grips are gold in color.

Welcome, research is the key to this hobby for sure, this thread is a good start For everything else you may need to know take a look at this comprehensive thread Each costume has a base level of legion acceptance the CRL's (costume reference library) you can find FISD's here https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:FISD_CRL Once you have your armor in hand posting a build thread is a good idea to get feedback and advice. Look forward to seeing one from you soon. -

I leave max 3mm (1/8th for you Imperial folk) around the edge. Ideally there is 1 large tab and 4 to 4 1/2 small tabs glued to front (not all armor will accommodate this) You can remove the large tab on the rear (or cut in half) NOTE: As seen in the photos below, there are no large tabs on the rear of the shoulder bridges. This is not specifically mentioned in the CRL, but removing them is highly recommended if possible. -
I use an Icomm with Aker 1506 amp. Can sit behind your chest plate, some prefer to add to the helmet, does make things a little tight Ukswrath has some nice electronics Some build videos https://www.youtube.com/@ukswrath2278/videos TRamp https://www.facebook.com/trooperamp/ Troopertalk http://andrewbrinkhaus.com/troopertalk
