  1. Very ingenious, I have used velcro before, could also use the adjustable car/trailer snatch straps. Definitely 72 hours to be sure
  2. It is an option and not required base approval but required for L3, hopefully we'll see you apply for EIB and Centurion at some stage
  3. And a final go over the text, boots are incorrect currently, when I've got more time I'll have another look Boots heels and side elastic, same as OTTK
  4. Although these are fine for base approval doesn't hurt to check with your GML as some are a little stricter than others. I still use my Hasbro blaster although I did a few other mods and added a longer barrel and t-tracks. These toy blasters were pretty common builds on the forum way back when I started but it's been a few years since they have been in stores, still pop up on eBay though.
  5. Having another deeper look there are a few other issues with the one you posted Scope is different Screws on U channel should be closer to the ends and countersunk by the looks of the reference U channel should cover all barrel holes Front sight Guide in front of scope Endcap Greebles No cocking lever, Barrel groove only half circle on the end and not correct
  6. This thread may be of use There are a couple of versions, ANH without hengstler or power cylinders and the Promo version, it is a little different to the ROTJ style which your image appears to be. Modified ANH Promo version (pre ROTJ) And this one with the U channel
  7. No CRL as nobody has built the costume, as far as I know
  8. I use something similar to this call JB weld, can be sanded and painted. There is a thread for those going to celebration but unfortunately it is in the 501st member area of the forum so you won't be able to access it. We do have a couple of FISD staff who will also be attending. There are group photos mainly on the Sunday both FISD and the 501st photos will be taken. RL 11.30am FISD 1.30pm 501st at 2pm JRS 2.30pm Spec Ops 3pm The group photo area is outside (location A), so no ticket/badge is required. However, if you are wearing a costume, it is likely that the changing room is inside the venue, so you will need a ticket/badge to get in and re-entry.
  9. You need to request legion access here, info in first post
  10. Hello and welcome, the Getting Started area is the place to start your research. For everything else Stormtrooper Also looking through others build threads is a great way to see size and detail https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/80-anh-build-threads/ There can be a BIG difference in color between makers, also makers themselves can experience color changes from their suppliers. Always good to try catch up with local troopers so you can see in real life the coloring, many garrison's have armor workshops which can be extremely helpful. Research is the key to this hobby and you have some reading in front of you
  11. Take a look through the ROTK build area, there are quite a few builds there with peoples sizing, give you a better idea visually. FOR OTTK you are better going with AM (DD) it's made for the larger trooper.
  12. Nice work, looking good
  13. I would try to remove, E6000 is easy to remove, use a knife under a corner then use some upward pressure, you really need a strengthening piece all the way under that crack. It's pretty common and most use a strengthening piece.
  14. Anything under pressure while gluing I tend to leave a little longer, 48 to 72 hours is best. You can really squash down the armor and tape around a few times to get cover strips to sit flatter.
  15. Unfortunately no zipper, need elastic on both sides, no seams as well. From the CRL: Boots Boots are above ankle height and made of white leather or leather-like material. Small U-shaped elastic sections on both sides of the ankle. Flat sole with a short heel. No buckles or laces. Jodhpur/ Chelsea-type boots or an equivalent style is acceptable. Elvis or Mariachi boots are not allowed. Here are screen used boots More references here Make sure they are quite high on the ankle, many makes of boots are very low and will come out of your shins when walking, they need a high neck

  17. Hello and welcome aboard, research is the key to this hobby and good to see your on your way, don't be afraid to ask questions, there are no silly questions only silly mistakes from not asking and measure twice and cut once A great thread full of helpful info: Good luck and hope to see a build thread from you soon
  18. Hello and welcome, a great thread full of information should help you on your way
  19. Same as other CRL's, ROTK is a great base, additional photos may be needed for specific detailed items.
  20. Nice work, you could also share to our 3D files repository, you can receive awards depending on contributions
  21. Finding the 3.7 AA batteries down under are a lot easier to do than finding original Icomm batteries, I charge every 3 months or so but also keep a spare just in case.
  22. Congratulations and welcome to the centurion ranks trooper
