Fiberglass isn't that uncommon for knock-offs lol... I would definitely not get anything from ebay because the chances of them matching the colour, size and shape of yours are slim.. plus it's probably a recasted POS xD

Uh I loaded it up straight from the container because you need to go pretty heavy, it soaks it up the first coat, but a paintbrush is still required to spread it.

Haha yea I didn't realize how much they could soak up! there was a thick coat on them, and now it looks like I hardly touched them xD another coat should do it I think

Ohh okay Got the first coat of that fabric dye on as well, left it overnight and it just soaks right in to the fabric nicely.. Can't wait to touch these up will get some better pics lol

Okay! SO, today was the big reveal.. thanks to usaeatt2's suggestion of scoring along the sides, I had very minimal paint peeling.. however that bastard frog didn't do his job perfectly and so a little bit seeped through.. no biggie, I plan to just use some flat black model paint and a very fine paint brush for those bits I will show pics this weekend of them completely finished

Coat 7 and 8 on, just did one in the morning and one now, extremely light coats.. this stuff dries really fast lol

No problem, happy to help Yea thighs should be butt joined with a cover strip and fully closed like the biceps and forearms.

Heres a quick diagram to help ---------

Butt them together, then center and glue the cover strip to one side only, making sure the opening is facing inwards... aka the left shin would have the cover strip glued to the left side, leaving the right side unglued and the right shin having only the right side of the rear cover strip glued down... that way you can either strap it like the originals with hooks, or you can apply velcro instead of glue to the side you didn't glue down, seeing as the cover strip is 25mm this should be enough room for a thin strip of velcro, but make sure you use industrial velcro as anything else would likely pop open if you put any pressure on it. I'm not sure what you mean about the thighs.. the thighs should be fully closed... Hope that wasn't too confusing haha
