  1. Working on that finish strip now as we speak!
  2. Waiting on my TK number...

  3. That was my first stumbling block in my build. I was using the pictures in the armor build tutorial and actually counted the number of notches that were present on the chest plate and then SECURELY glued them down so I don't think they are getting moved. It didn't give me much wiggle room when it came to attaching the straps to the back plate. I have however, noticed that some seem down farther than others depending on the picture you look at, like the one of Luke... Thank for that picture, I can't get into the FISD tutorial forum for the picture I used, but mine have the same number of slats or notches as in this picture. Thanks for the other tips on the build everyone!
  4. It's an ATA build. And yes, the shoulder bells had rotated back during the photo shoot. I am working on a remedy for that.
  5. My ESB TK is finally completed!

  6. After five or six weeks of work in the damp basement, some swearing and a lot of cash, my ESB TK is complete. My application and photos have been submitted. Check out the results below! Time to get trooping!
  7. Wow, I am digging the detailed weathering. What did you do, put the armor in the dryer with rocks or something?
  8. Great. That is exactly how mine is now. Thanks.
  9. When putting the mic tips into the hollow areas of the helmet, how far above the ridge of that indentation should the top (mesh) part of the mic tip sit? Are they recessed and sit down inside? Or does the tip rise above the ridge slightly? Or a lot? I tried looking at other posts and can't really tell, and the main site is down. Also, when tightening the nut for the screw post on the mic tip, I squished the bubbly part on the other side of the indent inside of the helmet slightly? Ok or bad?
  10. "Keith" from the UK, in Ongoing Projects forum is doing the mic tips. And thanks for the compliments, and vote of confidence for EIB! Any tweaking suggestions?
  11. Hey. Here is my Hyperfirm ESB E-11. http://www.flickr.com/photos/64843521@N07/6035622091/in/set-72157627293241731 Does anyone know where I can get the bling that goes on it? DRings, greeblies and the site-thingys??? Thanks.
  12. Ok guys. Here is my five week old ATA ESB TK build. I am waiting on the mic tips and holster in the mail, so those missing items don't count when making comments. I get those and it is membership application time. How does it look? http://www.flickr.co...57627425984892/
  13. Wow. You guys weren't kidding. That shined it up pretty good. Thanks again.
  14. I was going to ask if anyone had a line on the greeblies. Is that the man for it??
  15. Thanks for the info... good points all the way.
  16. You can contact for the Hyperfirm through email. Slavefive@cox.net
  17. Hyperfirm does make one and I literally got mine FedEx today. Price was right, shipping was crazy fast and it is as light as a feather. Seriously. Light. Here are some pix... http://www.flickr.com/photos/64843521@N07/sets/72157627293241731/
  18. Yep, the Harley store had it and I got all three bottles for $19.99. Thanks.
  19. Oohh. I have one of those by me! I will check there. Thanks.
  20. Looking at the forums it seems that most lean toward Novus. Can that be bought commercially at my local whatever or does it usually have to be ordered off the net? My build is about done and I don't have any polish other than car wax, and would rather not wait a week for some to come in the mail. I know, impatient of me.
