Yeah, chest and back are the biggest things to change. If possible I'd also try to change the shoulder bells
-
I also have EIB with mostly fx
-
I usually same something similar to this. 'We have other Legion members that have sculpted and molded the armor and each one of us trims the armor to fit our body.'
I too like to avoid the word 'bought' as it makes it seem like we just went out and paid for finished Stormtrooper armor.
I usually say roughly the same thing, that way it shows how much work we put into our armour as well
or just give them the 'standard imperial issue' response that so many of us use haha

that's actually a really good point! I'm studying engineering and always like ways that science and stuff can improve the things we do
The only downside I can see is that there might be some splash back from the force of the steam hitting the plastic, but I may give it a shot to see how easy it makes it to bend...

Yay!!! Glad to see you back Lucas!
-
Nice! I take it these are the new ears, not the old ones that didn't fit properly?
-
Great build so far!
Lots of little ideas that I can pass on/borrow if I get one of these kits
-
Looking good mate! keep up the good work!
-
This is epic! Looked like an amazing troop!
Loved the bit where you played statues
-
Can't wait for this!
-
Hi mate and welcome!
Have you signed up on the redbacks forums? www.501st.com.au/forum
We are the garrison that covers Qld and a friendly bunch, so don't forget to stop by
-
Looks like a MRCE & FX lovechild........
I'm sure your time and talents could be much better spent...... perhaps a mcquarrie concept helmet??
-
Looks good! but the details you have painted blue on the ears are meant to be black
-
Welcome mate! Good to see another Aussie on here! (even if you are in blues territory )
-
exact same setup as me! right down to the velcro placement
-
Welcome! Good to see you on here mate!
-
Great solution!
wish I had done that, I cut off the headband and sorta wishing I hadn't now, since I have to switch it between multiple helmets.

Welcome! Have you signed up on the redback garrison forums (our local garrison) www.501st.com.au/forum
Pop on in and we'll get you on your way. We have a few members on the sunny coast, so you'll probably be able to make it to an armour party or a troop to check out some armour first hand.

you won't need the real scope or hengstler, those are just for people that have gone above and beyond. Resin copies are just fine.
Not sure on the other areas as far an impolite person requirements go, but for t-tracks look up marv in the for sale section. I have his tracks and they are awesome.

Please share the info about the helmets? thanks in advance!
I'm quite sure they are made by SGB
-
can't wait! We need pics up here too for those of us not fortunate enough to be there in person

Seems this person re-uses the same description, everytime with the same TKID of her... http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Star-Wars-Stormtrooper-FX-M-Movie-Accurate-Costume-Prop-Armor-501st-Legion-/161049052076?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item257f4583ac
quite tasteless imho... I'm wondering if it should be reported to eBay, and if they would actually do something about it..
edit: oh, and yes, it does seem to be an AP if I compare it to some of the things in my armor.. one thing that does amaze me, though, is how little black I see around his knees and arms compared to me in my own AP while I'm an inch shorter than him..
There's a thread somewhere on here about this armour. I'm pretty sure it's her husband/partner that is selling this armour in her memory or something like that
edit: just saw that this one is actually based in aus.... perhaps an australian distributer?

Looks absolutely horrid, should send it to me for proper disposal
Looks fantastic mate! Wish I could own an RS one day

you are the master!!!
can't wait to see this come together

I just don't like the helmet as it kind of feels like we are going back to the fx look, since we've just about finally gotten rid of it... Purely from a costuming point of view.
