  1. Very good job you guys. Getting the word out man!
  2. Finally glad you have something for all your adventures... Rock on man!
  3. I agree with Daetrin... Things have a way of being hot for a while and slowly fading. I would think screen worn stuff will always go high, but replicas, nah... The inside market of starwars collecting for fans like us will be here, but main stream, nada... Now an autographed peice, thats a diffrent story... I am going to try very hard to get my JB Vader signed by the Skywalkers at CJ. Luke Leia and Vader. As its signed by JB, the sigs are where the value will be, not the peice. For me, Its never going anywhere... Right here on my shelf... LOL...
  4. Well, 6 is way faster then... Anyone used this stuff?
  5. 2 to six dosent sound to quick... LOL.. How long does E-6000 take?
  6. Ill have to watch for that. I am looking forward to a day when flexible rubber suits hit the market. That would be cool... I am going to derail a little. Still ESB, but I am so excited I am going to bust over this one... I give you a finaly finished CJ bound Costume Panel Qualed ESB VADER! And to top it, Just recieved today... An ESB JBV1 Helmet. Next to my DPLE Copy ESB helmet on my engraver. (The JB is on the right for all you non Vader heads...) Like a giddy school boy.. I am off to meet Dave Prowse next weekend as Vader. WOW!
  7. Man, I cant wait to go to work on my armor(s)... All that plastic... MMMMM.... And you are in Illinois... Man it dosen't get any better!
  8. Woo Hoo! Quick, Unpack that thing!
  9. FBJ and I had an awesome trade, and the belt is a great one! Whoo Hoo! Even has the extra plastic for the holster I needed! Thanks! Riviting, flat out the best dang neckseals ever. Great stuff. I have 2. One for my ANH and one for the ESB. Thanks! Ordered a blaster, makerofthings resin MR copy. Should fill the holster well. Scored some keith V2 mic tips, Dont know what I am doing with those yet... but I have a set. LOL... I do think I will use stompers. So making progress. I am off tommorow to look at a hardware store closing down. I am looking for rubber trim...
  10. Ya know... I had these thoughts as well. I was leaning to a system to make it look good on the inside, and not move AT ALL! The wetsuit idea has me thinking... Hmmm... Space is an issue, as well as wearability. Heat would limit that. I was thinking auto underliner. The problem with that would be weight and destroying your spandex. Is a smooth spray rubber like stuff available? That would look awesome, and you could do wicked cool stuff like spray in logos, numbers and such. Coating the insides of each piece would look the biz. Snaps and a bad A$$ straping system, one that is very hard to see would finish it. A well thought out bucket finishing could set the thing to new levels. I am going to mod my TM to accept the sound and such inside hidden well, not exposed at all. I am also thinking about a camel back mod in the backplate. All wires and hoses to be very well routed and hidden from view. So, functional and good looking. I dont want to see the white on the insides of my armor. I think it looks a little off. Again, for the movie, there worn for a couple of shots. But we wear and display ours for a lifetime. I think making a good looking set is totaly in the realm of reality. I wont so anything to stop me from Elite, but thats a goal for me. So Ill be flexing my ideas as soon as the plastic fariy drops some armor!
  11. Great job. I hope you have a well light place in the house to display that bad boy!
  12. Prayers and thoughts of health, God bless...
  13. We are all new at some point in time. AP and TE2 are great armors. Both are from good background, so it’s your call on that one. Great kits. TM and RT are awesome Fanmades. Great stuff. Reading up on all the armor debates can get redundant, and all have his or her own opinion on what is the best. My opinion? Well... You can’t go wrong with a set of AP, TE2 or TM. RT is awesome as well, for the thicker trooper. FX has its merit as well for the price these days. I truly believe that in armor opinions how you plan on treating it is the key. I for one am light on mine, but a heavy use troop might want to look at durability. That’s this troops .02 TE2, AP, TM and RT are some of the best out there. Great guys to boot. That probably didn’t help much, but in armor opinions yours is the one that counts my friend.
  14. You and I must have bought at the same time man! I got one as well! Looking good bro. Elite for sure!
  15. It is so easy to think "its not that far" "I wont need it" and jazz... I was less than 1 mile from home. Clicking your seat belt is the same as clicking your helmet strap. You need it. I rode motorcycles for about 3 years as well. I just cant figure why he was in a lowside before I saw him. There is a gas mark on the road, and a scrape from the bike for about 30 feet. He had to be booking. I think he was hotrodding. I would, Its a cool road to do that. He didnt expect to see me. He had to have saw me first. I am thinking I was moving pretty good as well. I normaly ride at traffic speed, so thats about 25-30 KM and hour. Here in Japan, they LOVE to find fault in Americans. Its just the way it is.. LOL... But this has been the oppisite. It is strange, but cool, the police called the hospital and worked a deal with the insurance to pay the bill. I dont think it is my fault. He gets full bills to fix his ride. I pay nothing. I dont think he got a ticket, as for they say we actually didn't hit. I must have missed him. I cant remember. I think he hit the bike though. I have a bent big cog, and that takes some force. Thats the only damage I can tell, but still, thats alot of force to bend it. I cant remember, so I cant prove anything. It all works out in the end. I am not angry, just happy to be here. I think my new cog comes this week, and I will be back riding. I even got a new jersey... Its a cool one. This thread has been a cool one, like an online journal of this healing process... Thanks guys for the kind words.
  16. I have seen welders shields go cheap, and expensive depending on where you go... If you can find em, cutting your own might yeald you about 3 sets if your careful. I use a machine to cut mine. I try to offer mine at a discounted price... The post office and Paypal are killing me. LOL... But that protects everybody, so I pay it... There are choises out there, depending on what you want, and how you want to look. There is a trooper here selling Plexi Thick ones, I put out thinner flex welders shield ones grade 3, not the plain un coated ones. There is a difrence in shields. I have seen some on ebay in grey plexi as well as bubble. I only do stunt. Thanks for the good words smitty, I will keep on trying to offer them at the least amount possible. I just wish the dollar was doing better...
  17. Ill never give up riding, and some day would like to get another Rice Rocket... But for now I pedal. If you wear the gear and plan the ride, should be no sweat. I think I pushed the limits of that road. I might have been in a bad spot. Thanks Mike, I will. Things happen for a reason.
  18. I thought I would share a couple of things... First off I wrote about my crash, and submitted it to my Writing class... I got a B... Thought you guys could read it if you wish... Here it is. I can still feel By TK-9135 I woke up today. I am breathing. I can feel the cool sheet under me. I still have a house, and my wife is just there next to me. From the time I wake up to the time I sleep, every thing is a blessing now. I know now that every day you need to live and let those that matter to you know how much they matter to you. Never take that for granted. A few days ago I did. I am a very active cyclist. I love the sport and have the desire to be a professional if time allows me. This hobby and past time has changed me physically, loosing weight and staying healthy is a great benefit. Can a Cycle change you spiritually? Mine has done just that. Two weeks ago now I left for my morning ride. There was a slight mist in the air on a crisp Wednesday morning. I strapped on my white half helmet, which matches my bike, as well as my white spandex jersey that makes me look like a biker. I love the look. A man is a man in spandex. There is honesty about it. Got a love handle, it’s for all to see. Today I will be working on that love handle problem. The only real decision on my mind was what sandwich to eat. I love a Japanese convenience store pre-made sandwich. The perfect morning wake up about mid ride. I said goodbye to the wife and clipped into the pedals for another great day. I need the ride. I have a soundtrack in my head to pedal to provided by a little wonder of technology called the “Shuffle”. There isn’t much that cannot be thought out on a ride, a lot of soul searching and thinking to be done. This is my time. I have needed it lately; stress of a new life has been banging at me. I feel unsure in the decisions I have made as of late. Every frustration and pain can be pounded out of me on steep road here in Sasebo. I can abuse my body and shape it to be what I want. Its time to forget about the frustrations, at least that is the goal, but I always end up back to the same point. The next days ride would allow me to pound out more frustrations. That would change today. I turned right to the lazy hill that is close to the house. Not even into the first full song of the ride, I casually looked in the mirrors and then to the road. Japanese road mirrors are a wonderful thing. Like knowing the future, you can plan your attack on a hill. Although not in a big hurry this morning, Ill clip along like traffic speed. A nice S curve switch back, the hum of the brakes in my ears and a steep curving final turn and the bottom of the hill gets nearer. Then I see a white flash and a quick glimpse of a motorcycle on its side. Black nothing. Total silence. The next moments of my life will last forever in my mind. Like a computer rebooting, so much information to relay back to you in a short time, words will not describe the total confusion, fear, and the pain. Then the hope and relief that like a hammer hit me all at once. These are the moments that will define me for the rest of my days. “Onamai wa” “Ginki Des?” “Dijobu?” Everything sounds like a tunnel. I can’t make anything out. I am totally lost in time and place. I only see a van, and a man above me speaking at me. I can see red lights and I am sitting on a fence like barrier in the ground. Can I talk? Let’s try… He doesn’t under stand. But I can speak. Wait, what is that he is holding, a black bag… It’s my black bag. Like a bolt of lightning, I can remember who I am. I still don’t know where I am but I know who. I know all my information is in that bag, and my important information is on a bracelet I keep for emergencies. I point to it and show him. He understands and is quickly on the phone to someone. I know that’s a phone. Things are getting clearer now, except there are more red lights and noise. It is so noisy. I am talking to a Lady now. More like a girl. She is sweet and speaking very slow to me. She has a uniform, and a helmet. I feel total trust in her. She understands me! I can make her out very well so I focus on her. “An accident, motorcycle, bicycle, over there I can follow. She points and I see it, 30 feet from us. “Please get inside, it is time to go.” The door on the van shuts and things are coming back to me very fast. As soon as he starts rolling, I know where I am. I am close to home. My wife! I have to call her! The medic tells me it’s already done and to calm down. The siren screams. Then everything starts to hurt. I preyed for the first time in years. I sit here now, typing this for my writing 101 class essay. I love every word, every keyboard stroke. I can hear the fan blowing behind me, the keys clicking and the light of the overcast sky reflecting off my screen. I can see my hands, bruised and cut, with the tell tale road scrapes of a crash. My knees are bent, but I can move them. They too have the wounds of a crash, healing as they should. My shoulder hurts a little, a sprain will do that, but feels good today compared to yesterday. My 50 stitches come out of my right cheek next week. I will look forward to eating with a full bite again, but food tastes so good. I am sure my look will not be altered, for the great job the Japanese doctor’s did to fix me back to me. My wife and kids off to the store, after they kiss me goodbye and tell me they love me. I tell them the same. I feel it. I want to live it now. I could have died on that hill. I have a purpose now, to live every breath and to love every moment. I will be looking to God more, listening to my heart and not taking the things we are given in life, good or bad, for granted. I am living with the knowledge that we are here to enjoy the things put before us. I am sure there are more things I can add to the physical view of why I am here today. The medics say my helmet saved my Life. It has the marks to show it. My sunglasses might have saved my sight. That moment will be lost to me forever; I have a 10 minute memory loss. I don’t remember. I do remember the feelings of love for my wife and kids. That is what I will be taking from this. I am here to love. I am here to give. I am here to feel. While a gentle breeze blows through my window… I made a crude pic of the only memory I have of it. It should give a pretty good example of how small the roads are here. The most important peice of gear I own. I might support helmet laws now... LOL... It dosent look all that bad, but the camera dosent pick up all the cracks and blood left on it. Doc says I owe my life to this helmet... I am back to wearing my full face, even around the block. I feel I am blessed to be here. I am almost back to full speed. I ride for the first time next week. I cant wait. I am very happy to have freinds here, Thanks guys.
  19. Man, that is an ultra upgrade! Looking like a true collectable!
  20. Interesting Idea about an auto shop... How would you have them paint it? Prior to assembly of after? Armor that is... Lid is a no brainer...
  21. Truth! Trashed my Vader lid... Had to reclear. Wait till the paint fully cures! <_< After though, Waxes like a dream!
  22. What the... Still has the trim on it... Thats pretty horrid...
  23. Man that is a nice set. Great to see it in the 501st! Best of luck!
  24. I see the ears and the eyes bing the biggest changes to my eyes. The TE2 looks the closest, with the AP second. The HDPE looks totaly diffrent in the face. The MRLE is a far better lid than that of the CE. Actually a very nice lid I wouldnt mind owning.
  25. I am pretty old school... I truly am a fan of the OT. ESB to be my movie. Close second is ROTJ. But the Force troopers from the game will make an impact, just like the RC game did. I think they need a better ID though... FU Troopers? That has to go... The new clone wars might not intrest all of us, but the kids will be into it. I will see it, but only cause it is Star Wars. I am looking forward to the TV show. The New troops do belong here though, and I do agree with the Dets working together. Thats a good thing.
