  1. No i meant the ones in the picture. They look liek they have another mm or two before the edge.
  2. Well looking at this picture, it they look too small.
  3. Yeah, you have your tears and traps a little to small. You could make them a little bigger. But looking good so far!
  4. No, but they need to have a hand painted look to them. TK-4510 aka trooperbay.com has them as decals, or stencils if you want to paint them anyway.
  5. If it's already painted up i think it's a fair price.
  6. I made me a makeshift heat sealing iron by disassembling a hair straightener and just keep one of the heating elements (it even has variable temperature). If you have an old one lying around it might be an idea. Or get one, there are some that are quite cheap. Your blaster is looking really good now btw! Do you have any more of that T-track?
  7. Odd. Hasn't happened to me yet. Good thing they aren't expensive.
  8. The belt around your waist can be pop-riveted to your cnavas belt (use washers!) like the originals were, and it'll flex with the belt. No need to heat bend it (I did - big mistake). same with the thigh boxes. You should need to heat bend those either. Only the shoulder bridges need that. If you glue them in the front and keep them free floating in the back it's unlikely that they will break off.
  9. Looking good! What is it you need to re-shape with a heat-gun/blow dryer? I guess it would be okey to use one, but it might take a long time to get the plastic up to temperature.
  10. I use snaps and elastic on mine and it works really well. I've never had anything come loose by accident.
  11. It partially is. Both have pros and cons. But your AP is too stiff to be a good candidate for the original strapping, and is missing some return edges you'd need to create yourself. The screws could make the armour crack because of it's stiffness.
  12. Yes. I recommend snaps and elastic for this kit.
  13. Good start! A second layer is definitely recommended. Keep in mind though that any second coat will have a colour difference from the first coat, so you can't really do "spot touchups", you'll need to paint all of it in once you start in an area. But it's worth it. Btw, more pics!
  14. So have you made any of the other changes that were mentioned as required?
  15. Yeah, you pay a lot more than you need to, and his claims are false.
  16. The big gun on the front page of TK-409 is a T21, the smaller looking one in your links are the DLT-19 What that galactic marine gun is is beyond me. Probably something the game designers made up. I don't think it would be appropriate for a TK to troop with that gun. Unless it's a non-canon event (ie drss/birthday party)
  17. I've only used humbrol thinner, but it has not caused me any problems. Of course you're not supposed to leave it soaking the plastic. Just dip a tissue in the thinner wipe the paint off.
  18. If I had to repaint a new frown, that's what I'd do, and what I've done the last times I've touched up on my ANH frown. So if you think it's not too scary, give it a try. Worst case scenario is that you spend 10 minutes with with some thinner cleaning up your mess.
  19. What I learned from painting my frown is that masking it didn't really help anything. It instead created a situation where I had to clean up the edges where paint met the tape, creating even more work for myself.

    Sometimes change is good.

I kind of like the new features, so I opt for a adaptation of the ESB theme for the new version of the forum software. I know how much work that means, but I think it'll be worth it in the long run.

I think there has been an upgrade of the forum software itself, so the old skins don't render properly. Use the "IP Boards" skin for something that at least renders properly.
