  1. It is meant to be facing inwards. It is connected to another hidden snap on the kidney plate to help keep the armour closed.
  2. This is an excellent warning to all the new guys coming here. Thanks for putting it together, Morten!
  3. www.tkboots.com are cheap, accurate and very comfortable. The only source of boots you need.
  4. You put one split rivet in the crotch, and two snaps on the butt piece, and an elastic strap with a female snap on it, from the split rivet. This strap can then be snapped onto one of the two snaps on the butt piece, both allowing for some adjustment, and also keeping the butt piece in place by being held together with to the crotch. It means that the grey paint is kept within the natural boundaries of the frown. Compare an ANH frown with a ROTJ and I think you'll see what I mean. ROTJ
  5. Heavy Weapons Trooper We should add that to the list.
  6. Not good at all! But if you get rubber gloves and make sure to use some cotton and/or lycra inner gloves inside the rubber ones, it's quite comfortable.
  7. Yes, CA glue is what we mean with Cyanoacrylate, aka your standard super-glue. Took me some time to figure that one out myself.
  8. Looking good Stephen!
  9. Well done! I'm liking the new chest and back placements. And congratulations on joining!
  10. Fiberglass per se isn't that bad, but I prefer it in helmets that were fiberglass from the start. Like the vader and boba fett helmets. Just as you can't get the accuracy of a 3 piece design in a 1 part fiberglass helmet.
  11. That looks like an AP recast. Real helmets were made and should be made from Vacuum formed plastic, not fibreglass as well.
  12. I think you're better off with CA glue on small parts like these. Very impressive build btw! It's not much left of that hasbro anymore.
  13. That's true. I forgot about that. The CRLs have requirements on the hero neckseal to have a bigger bib that runs down your chest and back.
  14. Have fun on the troop!
  15. Just don't paint the crotch rivet. Looking forward to your centurion application!
  16. Since I have followed the build thread closely, I know that the drop boxes are mounted with loops around the belt and they can sometimes move around if they get past the snaps. But I'm not going to hold that against you. A very clean and well built kit that makes the 501st, the detachment and garrison proud. EI application approved!
  17. Just make sure pictures are high quality (haven't been a problem so far;) ) and all the requirements are easily seen in the pictures.
  18. You need GML approval for trooping with this costume. I do not see how it would affect this detachment though. We don't control what you can and can't do IRL, we only award nice looking costumes and do research and development. As long as you are a 501st and detachment member that is.
  19. Now start working on the EI application
  20. Looking good trooper!
