  1. Ideally yes. But if you already have EIB and you're confident that your new armour is even better than the last, then I'd say you should be fine with going straight to centurion.
  2. I have a friend here in Stockholm who's been asking me about my aluminium blaster ever since that run happened, and he wants one too. I'm sure he'd be willing to buy one from you. And he can afford it too.
  3. Yeah, I meant the capacitors. But knowing that, you should be able to work out the size of the cylinders by working of the scale of things.
  4. The cylinders are 23 mm long. and 6 mm in diameter.
  5. 25 mm isn't a bad estimate. It's our usual recommendation. It's about the same as 1". But looking closer you'll see it's more like 1" & 1/8. In mm that would be 3.175 (1/8 inch) + 25.4 (1 inch) = 28.575 mm
  6. Good trick Endoskull. Would have done the same way had you not gone before me. Here's the URL: http://play.starwars.com/starwars_soundboard/asset/audio/TRPR_stormtroopers/storm_01.mp3Just change the last number from storm_01.mp3 to storm_02.mp3 and so on, up to 20. If you're on linux or mac, just paste this in your terminal to download them all in one go. for i in $(seq -w 20); do wget "http://play.starwars.com/starwars_soundboard/asset/audio/TRPR_stormtroopers/storm_$i.mp3";done
  7. You can still use this how-to for the build process. It's just the aluminium bars that are't quite right to begin with. But what's available locally may differ.
  8. Meh. I guess they work for trooping. And that's the main point sometimes, right? But from an accuracy aspect they're too thick and not wide enough.
  9. Depends. Are they trying to assemble a AP/TE style detonator and how focused are they on doing it accurately? If you overlook the the added paint, the pictures Rob. T posted are what you want to be looking at. That's the real deal, and that is always better than copying a copy.
  10. Never mind. I think I didn't think it all through before posting. But there is a significant portion of newbies here telling other newbies how to do things. More often than not, it's not only inaccurate, but sometimes even down right bad things that can have significant consequences further down the line.
  11. They just don't know any better. Despite what they think of themselves.
  12. Between £250-£450 (or more) depending on condition and if it's old or new spec deactivation. Here are a few samples: http://www.real-gun.com/smg.html http://www.gunstar.co.uk/All-Guns-for-sale?sstr=sterling http://www.dandbmilitaria.com/search.php?mode=search&page=1
  13. Not worth it at all.
  14. That's the funny thing, there are plenty of build threads where you can go to learn how to build a kit super accurate. But for some reason, this might be the first one newbies are actually reading.
  15. Let's not encourage a bad idea.
  16. Generally stunt and hero both use the middle one. It's just this particular trooper that has an alternative holster design. And neither of them wore the SE-14R in the movie either.
  17. Outside shins are longer, to cover the ball on the outside of your ankle, and inner shins are more curved to better fit the curvature of your shin muscle.
  18. Top one. Looking at a more high-rez picture the cut of the leather gets more apparent. Funny thing is, I've never noticed this before myself.
  19. So you're using once specific scene to say it was all CGI? Yes, good CGI is very expensive. Bad CGI less expensive.
  20. You should follow the steps outlined here: http://databank.501st.com/databank/Membership:JoinUs
  21. Like he said, it's in the 501st members section. Which means you don't yet have permission to see it. But you don't need audio in your helmet to get membership, so focus on that first and get the files later.
  22. T-tracks were made from extruded plastic. So make it look like that.
  23. I have reviewed all threads you've posted in, and I can't see any reason for your feelings. Unless you're upset because you haven't gotten enough posts on your build thread. Remember that a lack of response is not a dismissal. It could just be a lack of good answer, or just lack of effort from others to repeat information you'll find yourself in other threads.
  24. Glass is super expensive and not for sale either. But I did get to try one once. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
