  1. open source and in this case open hardware means that everything you need to make it yourself will be available for free under the condition that if you make any improvements yourself that you share them with the others. In contrast with normal software where you might download it, or pay for it but can't do anything other than use it (under terms of agreement)
  2. All I can find as a stun sound is this non-clean version: http://www.moviewavs...stunsetting.wav Edit: Found a better one! http://www.kiwi-nutz.com/sounds/play_starwars_wavs.php?soundfile=stun.wav
  3. Always wear cotton or lycra gloves inside your rubber gloves. It not only helps in cold and hot weather, it helps with perspiration and general comfort as well.
  4. Never had any problems with it at all. On my last holster the leather on the straps was thin enough that I just made a hole and put on the female snap like normal. For my new I had to carve out some material with an exacto first, but you just need to do that around the hole where the snap will go.
  5. Yeah, your rivet needs to be of an appropriate diametre in relation to the inner diamatre of the male snap, but you can always test on some scrap first. Not that I've never had any trouble with this. I think it's quite forgiving with what rivet size you use.
  6. Font smoothing makes the text less jagged on LCD displayes. It's found somewhere under desktop preferences->display->advanced or similar. I haven't done this myself in years as a linux user where this normally is on by default.
  7. Basically you just use the male half of the snap as a washer inside the belt for the pop rivet. Easy as pie.
  8. Hehe, thanks. I don't know, but it's very simple, and the method is identical to how firebladejedi attached snaps to the inside of the ab->kidney plates back in the day when we used pop rivets instead of split rivets.
  9. If you find something you think could work, let me know There's always github and sourceforge for the code repository.
  10. A converted sterling is the holy grail for a display piece, but for trooping you''re better off with a hyperfirm or a doopydoo resin kit. Avoid hasbros.
  11. How much work would it be to get a small LCD working? I may be willing to sponsor you with a the LCD if you find a small one for a resonable cost. I'm too interested in this not to consider it, especially if you can make the design and code open source.
  12. I use 2 pop rivets to hold snaps on the inside of the belt.
  13. I pointed that out during planning. There are worse than him none the less to watch out for.

  15. Yes please. Can you post them in here? http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=17306&st=200
  16. You're looking at at least $450 USD for a new kit, and more like $1000+ for a finished armor depending on maker and age of the armor.
  17. Any and all I have to say about this has already been mentioned by Thalizar. If you do remove the thigh ammo belt to replace the rivets, you may want to redo the curved bottom corner, it's a bit too sharp, the real suits had a bigger curvature. No problem approving this though!
  18. I think it's one their known distributors, but thanks for bringing it to our attention.
  19. Besides, CfO already is on the list of recommended sellers.
