Also, keep in mind that RS has had to expand into a larger studio twice already just to keep up with demand and to make more kinds of props, and now have a staff of about 10 people working full time. They have a lot of expenses to pay just to keep producing things at a reasonable pace. Otherwise they too would have a 1 year backlog, like ATA has.

Indeed it does. But I don't spend 90% of my time on this forum complaining about how bad the original suits look. And no, I don't spend that much time complaining about the new ones either. I have staff assignments to fulfill.

Aside from the obvious "that's your opinion" counter point... there are more ways things can look crappy.

I think it's just easier to create something new that looks nice than to capture the real essence of something old. Yeah, the FO trooper was a hard pill to swallow, but we've gotten used to it now. But for ANH we've always been used to it and this one while trying to be the same doesn't have the feel of it. It's the same with the EP3 symmetrical Vader.

If you're in Europe, you're better off with RS or TM. Less shipping costs, no import taxes, no extra VAT.

We could just all agree not to make this into a costume and pretend it's all ANH instead. Less work. Less crappy looking troopers. It's like the rebels-series troopers. We haven't bothered making a CRL for that one either, because it looks like crap, and nobody wants to wear that costume.

Looks terrible. Like an off-the-shelf TK hastily assembled wit no care. FX-style "under the arms" elastic to keep chest and back together. Movie might still be awesome, but the TK's look worse than ever.

They are supposed to be tall like that. What anovos failed at was painting the outer edges into a point on each side.

You're correct that they (or ultimately the DL really is) the final word on it. But what they say is not what I ever intended when creating the requirement. These days I'm mainly around on staff to piss people off with opinions on things and to fix the server whenever it breaks. I would have kept the notch where it is. That's what makes sense to me. I'm not sure why or how anyone came to the conclusion it should be moved. But when I was DL and added the notch as a requirement, moving it after shimming was never the intention. Someone taking the horizontal 22 mm distance form the edge a bit too literally? The measurement was written for unmodified screen-sized armour.

As for the shins and any other extremity, you will find it easier if you build the front to spec and used the back to adjust for size. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

Possibly. But it wouldn't be right. Cut it horizontally where it meets the ridge.

You can cut the cover strip where you need to and just remove the cut part. I made the same mistake back in the day.
