I used my magic admin powers to impersonate you, and I could view every thread I tried. Do note that some sections of the forum are off-limits to you until you're cleared 501st TK.

Yeah... But. How to know if it is too much cutting?
What about yours? How long is the strip that runs through the middle of the bell?

That is all highly individual and only you can know how much is enough by testing and testing again.

You absolutely 100% have my permission to use these pictures as you wish.
I don't have much more to add at present, hopefully I'll be having a meeting with the scanners mid week so there may be a bit of movement but ideally I would like to have these out there before the end of the year.
Thanks!
I'm also really happy to hear of your plans to replicate these beauties!

Can we put these images in the forum gallery?

Conscious this is an older thread but can you still get the embroidered ‘rocker’ badges?
Aside from your question being quite off-topic, yes. We have runs of detachment patches about once a year.

Nothing the be confused about. Just look at the picture above. 2 screws in total. One above the ear bumps and one at the bottom.

I've checked tapatalk and we still have the latest non-beta version installed so until I understand the issues better there's not much I can do about it.

Tapatalk is a third party plugin, and the forum doesn't know if the changes will break tapatalk or not, which is why I've never recommended relying on it for your needs. The forum (when it works properly) renders really nicely in a mobile browser so you can always use that instead. I may need to check if there is an update to tapatalk that needs to be applied.
The double posting happens as a result of you pressing "save" more than once, probably because the forum is slow and you imagine that the first time pressed didn't register properly.
As for the updates, there was a major update a few days ago, and another security patch after that. Server performance was in the drain and applying the upgrade was a challenge in itself but it's been pretty stable since.

Yeah, it's just the standard email/password combo to login, rather than the old username/password.
The reason is to make it harder to guess a users login, as the username is public knowledge but the email is not.

That's a change I made as a security feature. Your display name is public knowledge and that's 1/2 of what someone would need to try to login as you. The email is not public and thus a better method of logging in.
If you'd like I can check what your email was registered with on your prior username and reset the password manually, and emailed to that email address.

Best of luck!

Here are some alternatives. Marketed as the first colour correct paints to vintage ILM used paints. Enamel versions below. They also have acrylics.
Grey: https://archivexpaint.com/products/ex-009-1975-reefer-grey-lt-30ml-paint
Black: https://archivexpaint.com/products/ex-008-1975-engine-black-30ml-paint
Blue: https://archivexpaint.com/products/ex-042-1975-light-blue-30ml-enamel-paint
Not cheap for our purposes but worth mentioning.

That is a screen cap I took from the youtube video of his own weapon that he added it to. Wish we had a close-up view of the actual ones but I doubt we will ever see any details.
Ah.

That might be the case in that specific image. On the other one, it clearly looks spread out to the sides. So if those two are different, it's rather hard to dictate that either is "the one and only truth" and at the least we should in such case allow both variations.

Front of forward socket shall sit directly behind front section of sight. Back of rear socket shall be located directly in front of rear section as shown. All prongs are bent upward.
I'm not sure it's wise to dictate which way the legs are bent just yet, as long as it's not "downwards" (as in the way the normally are used).

Optional is definitely the way to go.
If you want to have it on, go ahead, this is how it's supposed to look like. If not, then that's fine too.

It's quite likely that both 14 and 16 pin sockets were used. I don't think the prop makers cared about which was which at all.

Obviously the IC sockets come in a variety of looks and sizes and the 50 year old design they used is unlikely to still be in production. Anyway, 16 pin IC sockets are what to look for.

This IC socket looks a whole lot like this with the pins spread out to the sides.

For what it's worth, the forum renders and handles really well in mobile browsers too, and I know invision is working on their own app.

Just cut the forearm to length like you figured out yourself.

Screen accurate to which suit? The video you saw might be looking at a different suit. Not all were assembled exactly alike. RS will build to match their original suit that they own though.
I would have kept it as it was.
