  1. Here's a short clip from San Antonio: LaterDays, - Berban
  2. Wait,... what swoop?!? Doh! Do you mean the little cutaway piece on the inside of the elbow (so to speak)?? If so: DANG. I already have velcroed the "backsides" of each of the forearms, so if I swapped 'em out the velcro would be on the "front".... Can you confirm? LaterDays, - Berban
  3. Just to show some of the adjustments I made: : : : : Bear in mind: I still have MANY more adjustments to make before I even think about going for EIB!!! But I will try to get there ASAP. (in the words of a famous Simpson: "Mmmm, TKBoots...") Ever since I discovered them here on the boards a couple of months back, I've wanted them. Perhaps one day soon. LaterDays, - Berban
  4. Here you are sir: (From the SWIC performances in San Antonio on June 5th) LaterDays, - Berban
  5. Very sorry for your loss Debbie. I too had a recent passing in my family, which made my first troop bittersweet. Trust in family and friends and I'm sure that includes all of us here. - Berban
  6. I exist! http://www.501st.com/members/displaymemberdetails.php?userID=12000 http://www.501st.com/members/displaymember.php?userID=12000&costumeID=126 Thanks! - Berban
  7. Have since fixed this as well. I'm also guessing that once overlapped, a trimmed-down chest plate will sit better. Only using suspenders to support shoulder bells, and thighs, but I do have adjustable strapping on all the torso pieces. Here's a few good and informative threads on the PT here at the FISD: ----------------- Thanks again for the input and comments!! Please send more, troopers!! LaterDays, - Berban
  8. Crossing Fingers!! (though I'm thinking I'll replace them with TKboots.com boots. Yeah they're velcroed for the time-being, but will probably glue them down once I know the exact position I want them in. Shoulder bells = DONE Lower biceps = Will do. I've thought about that, but to be honest I'm scared to remove too much. Thank you!! Completely overlooked that even even when I've test fitted it since these pics. I am wondering what the standard proportions are; in other words: how many inches long vs the diameter? Yeah, I'm really afraid of Armor Bites for the troop this weekend. Thanks for the input!! Keep it coming!! LaterDays, - Berban
  9. Well, every time I worked on my armor, I neglected to take pics!! So much for a "build" thread!! Lol! Anyhow, here's some pics of my first fitting. (PLEASE excuse the poorly put on parts; it was 1 am when I finally got all this together) http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4072/4653397378_9978882d43.jpg Hasbro E-11 painted. Will modify later with DoopyDoos kit. http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4056/4652791035_9f74af4c69.jpg Finished the O2 Canister after the pics. It's a little long, but can still be trimmed. That's all I got right now, hope at least a few of you like! Any tips? Criticisms? Comments? LaterDays, - Berbs
  10. Amazing work!! Wish I'd seen the topic before, I most certainly would've replied (not a sore subject at all in my house!) My wife is trying to figure out a Jedi that she would look best as; the Empire married to the Jedi Order = supercool!! LaterDays, - Berban
  11. Ā”Ā”Muy bien!! Ā”Ā”Te aventaste!! - Berban
  12. got married, now making his TK armor...

  13. Howdy, All!! Just got a set of PT armor from a generous Star Garrison member (Central TX Squad). Part of it has been assembled (thighs, and calves have been glued at the front, still need strips to cover the seam - and the bucket was almost complete - needed to glue in the welder's lenses, and will need to add electronics), but I have a long ways to go before completion! Have a Hasbro Blaster that I may initially just spray black, but eventually plan to outfit with DoopyDoo's resin kit. I'll update when new items are received, and when parts are completed. As of 04.15.10 Bucket: Assembled, Need Electronics: fans / mic/ amp / speakers (not sure if I'll keep in helmet or behind chestplate) Armor: starting build Undersuit: UnderArmor HeatGear Purchased Neck seal: Researching Gloves: Researching Belt: Researching Boots: Received, may repaint, currently flaking off... Holster: Researching Blaster: Hasbro - to be painted LaterDays, - Berban
  14. I hope so too. Joined, and shared on fb. - Berbs
  15. Hey, Matt! Not quite ready to really start my armor until after my wedding at the end of the month, but... have been in and out of touch with Jim from the North Texas Squad, and John Laurel here in San Antonio. Will PM you some info... though I don't know if it's still accurate... These were contacts suggested to me for help with the Star Garrison Boards.... What I do know is that the next troop here in San Antonio is for the Relay for Life at the Medical Center on March 26th. I leave for my wedding in Florida early on the 27th, and I only have a helmet started, so I don't know if I'll get to make it out there (though I will try!!) And of course Star Wars in Concert coming up in June... LaterDays!! - Berban
  16. Supercool. I guess this might be My First Stormtrooper Armor. No, really. It will most likely be my first. PSN: Berbs42
  17. ...us, Everyone!! Really, A very Merry Christmas to you all!!
  18. Doh!! I actually did try to search for "facebook" before I posted this, but I guess that other one didn't show up as it says "twitter" instead in the title of the post. Ah, well, twice the posts to get twice the laughs I suppose!! LaterDays!!!
  19. Saw this on Gizmodo... Again, a bit on the crude side, and rather silly!! http://gizmodo.com/5413996/what-would-happ...s-used-facebook
  20. Oh, no! Sorry, I can see how it looks like I thought FX and RT were the same. Shouldn't have written it that way..... Should've been something like: "I actually may need FX form my melon since I hear it's bigger than most (as is my head!). And by RT you mean RT-Mod right? (I've only ever read it referred to as "RT-Mod" not a two letter abbreviation like most others - FX, TM, TE- and thought maybe it was a variation - like TE and TE2)." I was just too hasty.
  21. I actually may need FX form my melon, and that's RT-Mod right? I suppose I'll have to find some RT info (PM anyone?) and look into that one as well.... (at least for my first lid!). Thanks!
  22. Wait, which fan produced bucket makers do the "Idealized" look? Forgive me, I assumed that all the fan produced stuff (or at least, the good stuff) was not Idealized and was Set Accurate, since it appears that's what the majority of troopers are going for these days. Quite curious....
  23. Also, (and this is just what I've gleaned from posts here at the FISD) if you were going for a more "Idealized" look, wouldn't the more or less symmetrical MRCE be the most likely choice? I understand most of the fan-pulled helms are purposefully asymmetrical to get a "Set Accurate" look. Obviously I'm still pretty new to this, so please correct me if I'm wrong!!! - Berban
