  1. Greetings from RT-MOD!For the past year and a half, I have been collaborating with Pandatrooper (of Panda Props and Costumes) on the fabrication of RT-MOD armor. Not only has he helped produce armor in his own shop and delivered to my high standards, but he has has helped upgrade many of the molds and bucks to create a more accurate version of the RT-MOD armor. Many elements within the costume have been updated for more accuracy or have been improved in terms of quality, comfort or wearability. Everything is still being fan-made from scratch based on photo references, and scaled up slightly to match the proportions of the current RT-MOD armor. But the time has come for me to officially pass the torch. Going forward, Pandatrooper will be the main contact and fabricator for RT-MOD armor. There will be a new contact email and updates on the latest version of the armor and helmet will be posted soon. As well, there will be some cool upgrades we think you will like! I would like to say I could not have asked for a better, more dedicated individual and have full confidence in Pandatrooper and his skills in carrying the RT-MOD torch. I believe he has a unique skill and dedication that will show in maintaining a high level of quality, care, attention to detail and craftsmanship. Please give him some time for the transition, as well as restocking supplies and also allow him to catch up on some back orders.Keep in mind that RT-MOD has and will be made for fans and hobbyists as time allows. We all have lives and need to take care of that first. From simple beginnings in 2002 to here now in 2019 it has been my pleasure to be able to outfit the bigger trooper candidates with high quality, accurate gear and have enjoyed the fandom and camaraderie of those who partake in the hobby. I want to thank everyone in this community for their support over the years. RT-MOD would not be around without you!

  6. Great work so far. Will you be aiming for higher levels of accuracy? It’ll you are it adds very little time to the build and most changes are fairly simple, like adding the flexible hand guards. Good luck, and have fun on the build.

  9. Great job on fixing the frown and ab buttons! And like others have suggested trimming the ab plate will also bring your kit to that next level. And as long as you used E6000 it should come off with a little persuasion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. Nice job on the paint fixes, Josh! Glen is spot-on in his suggestion for trimming the ab-button plate, and the small one should have square corners as well. As seen in the reference image he supplied, ideally the outside of the large one should be well inside the raised area. For a much better look, this is how I would suggest trimming it:

  12. Ty, from all the research that I did, my suggestion to you is that you are better to go with one of the vetted makers of armor, (Anovos, Authentic Props (AP), RS, and walts to name a few.) You will be spending about 1000 on the Plastics / Fiberglass alone (Rough estimate) and then another couple of hundred on tools and odds and ends not to mention Soft Goods (Body suit, boots, gloves) and then Extras (Electronics, Blaster etc) I am already well over 4000 in to my costumes (OT TK ANH-S, Shadowtrooper and Darth Revan) of course Im a little crazy when it comes to certain details that I pay more for (tools, my blaster, Lightsaber) I highly recommend you research every aspect of what you are looking for to get the best price and highest quality. If there is one thing I have found it "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is"

  13. thanks gmrhodes13 I am going to test tape it on and upload the pics just to make sure. I had to repair my butt plate and kidney plate so that is all reinforced now and dry so time for another test fitting. Like my Dad said measure twice cut once... so annoying he is right so in my case now... measure multiple times, tape etc and then cut.

  14. You could also take a little of the edges off your large ab plate and corners are not rounded

  16. I bought mine (Stormtrooper ANH-S) off a retiring 501st member and trimmed the kit down to fit me. My 2nd I also bought from a 501st member and will be shrinking it down (Shadowtrooper)

  17. Attache Jaltrooper is on duty!!! We'll have this guy Centurion before you can say "May the 4th be with you!!" Hahaha! For the record...Bradley is a GREAT addition to the Legion and our Garrison! The guy can out troop most of our veterans! Jon

  18. It’s the top edge of the arm just needs trimming. Had a job getting all ends and edges to marry up so a bit of finishing to do when all set Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  19. I really am very grateful for such gratification. Thank you very much, brothers, and especially thank Andrew and Gmrhodes for your patience and appreciation. I will take a look at those little details that you have given me to make my armor a bit more perfect if possible. Very proud to show the rank of Centurion and continue doing this great human work that we do. A big hug to all! Enviado desde mi SM-G960F mediante Tapatalk

  20. Very nice, looking forward to the progress. One thing that has been mentioned of late is the color inside the sides of hovi tips, they appear to differ from Stunt version with the Hero being black on the sides (stunt are white on the in sides), a few references from Joseph @justjoseph63

  21. Nice work on this armor, Josh! We appreciate the additional photos, but can you post up one more? Please add one showing a close-up side view of your large ab button plate. Thanks!!

  22. Hey Josh, Can you upload a close up of the crown on your helmet, the one thing I can’t tell from the photos is if the gray on the frown extends to the lip or if it’s just a shadow? (Anovos is notorious for this) but no worries nothing a little mineral spirits and a toothpick can’t fix . Take a look at the attached and you’ll see what we’re aiming for. 23. If only Flickr would finally process that video... It fits in the receiver tube, but I will have to cut a piece out of the acrylic tube where the scope rail enters the receiver tube. I frosted the tube because I didn't like how you could see the individual LEDs from outside the barrel. Thanks for the feedback guys!

  26. Looks good to me Stephen. The RS armor has a lot of these odd alignment. I struggled at first as I was trying to get it all to match up perfectly but it just doesn't so you go with the screenshots and references in the gallery for the RS suit. As Joseph has suggested, try to get the sharp edges sanded to a smoother finish so the don't catch on your under suit. One thing I did for the exact same part- I reinforced behind the seam with some scrap PVC/ABS as my thigh parts were really thin in that area. Also it kind of visually filled in any noticeable gap. But you made nice clean cuts so you don't have to worry about that.

  27. Looks good, Stephen! One thing to watch out for is those areas that have jagged tips. Sanding them down smooth will help keep the from snagging/tearing your undersuit. If you have any more questions (no matter how small or how many) be sure to ask, and photos are a bonus! We are here to help.
